For sure, I enjoy "intellectual discussion" without the usual people bitching (AHEM.. GaOwnersClub.com..) it's a nice change for sure!

- Yep, You are correct.. Liberals are responsible for most of the success's in our history. However, consequently the most amount of failures. I could go on all day about all the good things the liberals have done, this was a in-defense of Harper post however ;)

- I am personally on the fence about same-sex.. Again, it's like abortion and marijuana.. There is no right answer. (Well, there is.. It's called PRO CHOICE.. heh..).. Hey man, if a guy wants to date another guy whatever, that's cool.. I just hope if they are financially a couple they are as legally bounded as there hetrosexual counterparts.

- Donations are fair game in my opinion, We are talking in different scale here.. As in, a tens of thousands from Harpers old days.. To hundreds of thousands (millions? Doubt it.. I'm taking a blind stab) for the liberals. Donations are fair game.. You're right Harper fucked up when he tried limiting federal "investment" into campaining.

- Yes, First Nurses and now Family Physisians.. Although healthcare is a prov. matter across the board.. So in Ontario liberal.

- Child poverty and First Nations poverty (wow, I just wrote two massave essays on this) is a massive problem that needs to be fixed. However, throwing money at them doesn't solve anything. Believe it or not, you can't buy yourself out of poverty.. I know it sounds strange but it's not possible.

- I agree our war is a financial burden.. However we are apart of NATO.. We have commited.. Plus, at least we are saving countless lives.

- The auto sector.. I think it is kinda strange how Chrysler and GM are taking bailouts when Ford was in a shitfest for the last few years.. They seemed to pull out okay, as they found out they need to pump out middle-class ecnoboxes.. Not SUV's and POS 10k Cobalts and G6's.. I hope to hell we let them fall on there ass. Completely agree.

- I fully support a GST/PST free weekend, I honestly would consider buying a new car if they did this.

- I would never consider voting Green, I had the displeasure of meeting our running MP and it was disgraceful, sure it's nice to save the enviroment (I know they are more then that) but seriously, if I ask what your stance is on Lack of Post Secondary funding and they say "We don't have a stance".. Is National Defence something that should be prioritized "I'm not sure"... etc.

- I disagree on corporate taxation.. It does not make finanical sense (why tax a company $200 when I could tax every member $1).. The more money in the company the more competitive the pricing and wages.

There are very different levels of wealth in Canada, however I would agree we are a upper-middle class country :).. Health Care does that to you lol.

:)

PS: Hyrdo, Move up to Canada man! I'd wait for the exchange rate to even out though, haha.. It's killin' me right now.

At least while i'm in Canada I feel like i'm not going to explode from stress. Everything is so fast and dirty down south.. Don't get me wrong, the US has some pretty keen benifits.. Canada is my haven of peace however :)

oh and if I had to vote tomorrow, I think I would vote NDP. I trust layton way more than any of the other leaders. Last election I had to do some strategic voting to prevent a pc majority.
