my plants are artisan buds and grown as if i only had one plant in the world. There are alot of commercial growers that produce absolute shit. No smell, no taste, terpenes are non-existent on testing. They don't seem to take pride in their craft. It’s sad really. Growing is my passion I stopted working as a network engineer to do this full time and spread the love.
Sure, you know what? Weed is a weed. Give it sun, water, soil, stress the fuck out of it treat it like a dirty used whore..she will grow.. all these weed snobs, wannabe botanists, closet growers are a joke. Acting like there’s some magic pixie dust to harvesting a crop. Lol..anyone can grow, and sure you learn and pic up things along the way to dial in and improve..people talking shit about Cali greenhouse weed..it’s the best greenhouse weed in America and probably the world..what your trying to control indoors with your environment, your mimicking what parts of Cali naturally has. Your outdoor/greenhouse swag is junk admit it.

If you got credit, jump into a state starting up, ten years when things tighten up and becomes a grind, sell and retire. It’s the new gold rush. Once it federally legal the large corporations will rule it and run everybody out of business with their deep pockets, lower their prices below costs until they are the last man standing and then raise their prices.

and your contribution to ending this cycle is? probably make money off patients like the rest of yall. its a good thing commercial ops never get my $, they used too til I realized everyone growing for more then themselves is growing for profit, and profiteering from a medical plant is just immoral. California might have the best weed but the worst morals. weed is so cheap to produce idk why patients still pay so much...

Literally broke my back at my job, I would say it was harder than gardening. That's one of the big reasons I grow now, shitty commercially grown prescription weed just did not cut it.
I'm sorry to hear you broke your back. That's one of the most horrible injuries I could imagine sustaining short of castration. How is it these days? My neighbor a few houses down has a concrete balcony on his front porch he gets drunk on everyday after work. Raging alcoholic, but nice enough a fella that I stop by and donate weed and caps to him from time to time. He told me he got so drunk on his porch a couple years back that he passed out standing up and his back landed on the concrete balcony snapping his spine. If I remember correctly he said recovery was over a year. Still gets hammered on his porch every day in the spring and summer. When it gets cold he gets hammered in his garage running a propane burner filling the garage with carbon monoxide. Last time I was over I asked him if that was safe. He said he just opens the garage door once in a while to vent it out. Very tragic to know how this guy's story is going to end, but I had a small laugh at the time :)

I by no means have a large garden, but I do have a few nursery tents and a large flower room. I work around the clock to tend to it 7 days a week. It is an immense amount of work. I would by no means consider what I do "easy." I enjoy it, but it definitely is in no way shape or form easy. It's kinda like a marriage. Shit ain't easy, but it's worth it in the end. Who the fuck else is gonna give us assholes 7 days of 9-5 labor trimming our plants for free? Kiss your wife / girlfriend and tell them how much you love them. If you're a Trump supporter a fly by pussy grab is absolutely acceptable - as long as you say I love you while you do it :)

It’s a passion for me but I would be lieing is money wasn’t a motivating factor.. in my 20+ years of growing I’ve realized everybody thinks they have that magic pixie dust, like there’s some magical way of growing a crop. In the end, Your pot and their pot are probably both decent if they put any care into it. You wanna think you got that magic pixie dust and that your pot is the best, hey man the tooth fairy and Santa isn’t real and neither is that pixie dust..

I get that money is a determining factor. thats just sad because of others profiteering the poorest of patients suffer, so others can eat. I guess that's the way of the world, dog eat dog and such, but thats fundamentally flawed when dealing with a product that is both drug and medicine. id say if you have all these greenhouses you should donate some to a VFW with vets with ptsd, just give it away. some shit, give back aswell don't just sit up in your weed castle shitting on us little guys.

No one in here has said anything about magic pixie dust. As a general rule most knowledgeable growers on RIU speak out against magic pixie dust, broscience, snake oil and “Mc Donald’s” style growing.

It's just one of those things you live with. First 20 min out of bed are the worst, the injury is almost 30 years old now. It's the main reason I moved to IT for fear there would be issues down the road. Honestly I feel pretty lucky all in all, there are many out there worse than me. I may have to deal with 24 hour a day discomfort but at least I can still get up and do what I need to do. I just pay for it more each year.

I don’t own my Cali property anymore, I sold and moved..when prices got down to 900/unit that was the last year..When I started I got 2800/unit..and I grow my own medison in my little 4by8 in my house..I give most away I usually harvest around 4-5lbs every couple of months in that space, I maybe smoke a ounce a week the rest is literally given away, on the rec/commercial side the trimmers can smoke all they want drink all they want, listen to music as loud as they want, it’s a chill atmosphere.. but that product is to sell recreationally..it’s not medicine per say..
