Them hot Summer Days

Wheather your growing inside or outside. Or maybe both like me I like to take my plants outside when the sun is out w/ clouds, but it can get hot asf outside and in your grow room with lights on during the day. I was getting curled leaves at first but then I start to notice that when I keep the soil moist, my plant tolerates the heat more. Like right now my baby outside on this 93° weather feels like 101° and she does no more curling. I think she done got use to the heat and the hot days keep your plant drinking water, which intakes nutes l, so I say its all good.

Cool. I’m growing in my garage and the tent is a steady 82-84. Got the 70% rh too. The ones I tried to grow outside either vanished or got serious heat stress. I’m done with trying to grow in summer for now. A lot of work to make it work. Fall is gonna be my only growing season for now. Thanks for the info. Someone else here told me to give cooler water as well.

I use water from my fish tank, I don't make it cooler just make sure soil not dry so it don't over heat. To me the leaves can take heat, the roots can't. And if your temp is under 85° your good it's when your go over that 90 mark that u need to watch your plant. I started my plants late spring, and now in week 3 of flowering so I been growing all summer and evrday the heat is 90 and above, and my baby girl still thriving

Those temps aren't honestly even bad for outdoor. My plants see triple digets a few times a year in the green houses. My outdoor does fine even in 104 to 106 hot spells. The key is good watering habits. I don't or wouldn't keep my soil constantly wet. MJ plants actually do really well when they get that cycle of wet to almost completely dry in the soil. Constantly wet soil actually slows down growth and in severe cases will stop it altogether and suffocate the plant. I let my plants tell me when they want water. Doesn't matter what style of growing I'm doing. Indoor, outdoor, greenhouses same technique for dialing in the watering schedule. Pot size has more to do with how much your Guna water outdoors etc etc. If one guy is in a 5 gallon pot in a hot climate, he may have to water every morning. However a guy in 100 gallons can go multiple days between waterings. It's not one size fits all for sure.

You reapeated exactly what I said, I do let my soil dry up a lil before I water again but if top soil is dry and I want to take advantage of the sun on a hot day then giving it some water to keep soil moist is the way to go, didn't say keep watering all day, I give it water when I first put it outside, never to much where I have run off if it's not time to give a actual watering

No actually you clearly said you keep your soil constantly wet to keep em drinking on hot days.....and for some reason you think that makes the plants take up more nutrients......not exactly how plants work.

For one drinking water is how plants take up nutes that's y your water need trace elements and like I said n I say it again when it's hot outside, I keep my soil moist didn't say constantly water, everyone know once you water your plant your soil will stay moist especially for a whole day to where your not "CONSTANTLY" watering

Hey, I just finally watered after 4 days. Didn’t see any wilting but it was definitely dry. It’s harder to water now that I have the scrog in though. Used a gallon the way you said. Half then the other half 15 man later.

On topic, what do you think of the cooler water when you do water?

I don't notice a difference in water temps and my plants when I water. My gravity tanks are a lot warmer than my water straight from the well. I only use the gravity tanks when I'm feeding nutes. Normal water days I just pull my water straight from the well tank. Did you get some decent runoff when you watered?

Edit- The well water is much cooler than the water that's in the tank for a few days. I don't feel a need to cool my water though ...LOL.... The plants don't care as long as the water isn't crazy hot.

Never salty and I know what I said I water like every 2-3 days I take my plants outside like everyday, if its a day I'm not fully watering my pot its dry halfway to the top which will make the roots burn up in the hot beaning sun on a hot day, so to offset the heat I water a lil when I first put my plant outside to keep the soil MOIST for the day. I know what I said so before u go commenting on people post make sure u understand the thread before u go trying to be a big shot no it all grower lol smh.

I'm no big shot grower by a long shot. Don't be mad your getting called on giving rediculous info....you can twist your words and try to back out of your previous comment of always keeping your soil moist. Just don't tell others to do things like that. I have nothing against you personally. I'm sure your intentions are good, but telling a new grower asking for help to keep his soil moist is bad advice. He just told me he went 4 days inbetween waterings. If he listened to your advice he'd stunt growth and severely overwater his plants. Just by the few posts I've read from you It's clear your still learning. Which is fine but don't give advice to others you know nothing about. Don't you have some water to cool or something?

Ok. Yea I did have runoff. Couldn’t tell you exactly how much but I did notice a little runoff come out of the side of the smart pot. Just a gallon. Maybe first nutes next watering? It’s at 5 weeks now.

Didn’t mean to use your thread as an IM, op. My bad.

For one I never gave never he who every you talking about advise I gave advise specifically for a hot day or high temperature in grow room. Once again never said ALWAYS keep soil moist just on the day your experiencing high temperature like 90° or above outside or high 90° in the grow. Don't think your checking nobody or saying something everyone don't already know, you can't over water if soil is dry never said give a full watering said enough water to keep the dry soil moist so it don't burn up u only need to do it once and they good all day no reason to worry about over watering. Further more your roots take up more water the hoter they are. So don't say I'm giving bad advise because it's something you never experienced or tried out yourself.

You're in FFOF soil using the trio correct?

If so then yes. I start feeding at roughly a month. Just remember you're only going to use the GB at 1/4 strength and the BB at suggested general feedings. The BB is the only organic of the trio so it's fine to use at suggested normal feedings. The GB and the TB are the ones you gotta start slow and work your way up. The GB and TB are both potent.

yea and the ffof.
Someone on this site said FF bloom is just brown water lol. Honestly I’ve heard like 80% positivity about all FF stuff. The soil is rockin it IMO. Not that I’m knowledgeable but it looks like a happy plant to me.
