These were taken on day 10 from breaking the surface (Tues morning). Also took a pic of the entire cabinet to show what I am growing in.
I struggled to get a decent root system last grow I did, so I started these in a small 1L pot. That way at least I can be sure I am not over watering and can give the roots a glance when I re-pot. Last time the roots wouldn't even have filled a 1L pot, and the plants never seemed to look 'happy'. Results were ok, but I want to improve my newbie growing skills. Trying something slightly different might work, it might not, but at least it is worth a try.
The Brooklyn Sunrise was starting to curl her leaves downwards, so I backed the lights off a bit and they are now horizontal again. Obviously she was trying to hide from the light.
Both varieties seemed to stall for a few days, then have taken off again. I assume they were busy underground. The Brooklyn Sunrise is slightly smaller than the Blue Dream'matic at the moment, but that may all change!
Plants are only a couple of inches high, with very close almost touching nodes. I would much rather them be like this than stretchy plants that will fill my space before they even finish stretching.
Transplanted last night (tues) into a 10L pot - roots were just about hitting the bottom and edges of the pot but not circling, so I think I timed it right. Didn't take any pics in the new pots.
Seeing you guys talk about Barcelona made me really happy - I had one of the best nights of my life in Barcelona in 2016. Flew over for a few days. Had drinks and a nice meal with my wife near the harbour in the late afternoon, we went to the Nou Camp, sat virtually pitch side and saw Barcelona absolutely hammer Celtic 7-0 in the Champions League, then had an ice cream and people watched on the Ramblas after. Pretty simple stuff, but a fantastic experience I will never forget.
