Ok, the rules are there are no rules... kidding. Please DO NOT comment unless it's positive and only regarding 12/12 from seed (or 11/13-ish in my case).

NO Opinions, NO Bashing. In other words MOVE ON u 18/6 VEGING POS %$#@'ers (haha, kidding again)

Now on with the show!

After waaay too much thinking on how I wanted to set up my grow space, I decided on a 5x5 tent and running it 11/13; and always from seed. No mothers or clones for me. It's a love fest in there... The seedlings are near the teenagers alongside the flowering hotties. I try to keep temp around 75 and relative humidity around 45. I'm currently running 1 240w chinese copy HLG and a 120w Blurple from Amazon. I have 2 more of the HLG copies that I can set-up when I have the time, hopefully this weekend. They are dimmable, which is nice, so I'm definitely excited to get them in the tent. I'll have a potential 840 watts roughly of pretty new tech LEDs. I won't get into nutes at the moment...

The lights are ON from 8am to 7pm. I'm currently using Coco Coir with some perlite in solo cups for seedlings then the plan is for most to go from solo's into a half gallon fabric pot. I'll finish most in the 1/2 gal fabric but I'll transplant some sativa's into a 1-3 gal fabric pot here and there. I think if I transplant into bigger fabrics I can just set the half gallon fabric pot right in the bigger one and the roots will go through. No transplant shock?

I have some roughly 10 day old Apollo Haze regular seeds in solo cups going. I will post some pics tomorrow.

For you that grow 12 12 please tell the thread why you settled on this style. Thanks!

The grow went well. I plan on doing it again this summer. No reason in particular for not continuing.

At the moment there is a staggered veg time grow happening to compare approx difference in yield. Nothing scientific, just planted a week apart for 4 weeks.

Run a day tent and a night tent. Light schedules for veg or an auto can only be 15/9 max with a 90 minute ramp up and down at sunrise and sunset due to equipment power draw versus the breaker box.

The summer plan is Sativa heavy plants at 12/12. The genetics coming from areas with natural day length near 12/12, longer flowering time, seems like a natural candidate for it.

Planning on using kwazulu and durban poison. Those two are the most sativa on hand.

From what Ive studied 12/12 is no bueno. Yes people use it, but at what cost? There are things that only having the bud tested will reveal

Basically, Indica genetics is from a short day geographic, while sats are equitorial, a long day geographic

Indicas should do well vegging 11/13, and flowering 10/14

Sats vegging ~ 13-15/11 and flowering at 11:30/12:30

plus or minus 15 minutes in either case

I actually just did a site search for "11/13" as I have seen it mentioned a few times and was curious, but I'm totally in the dark and confused as i'm old school 18/6 veg, 12/12 flower....but sometimes us old dogs can learn new tricks (when we want too) lol.

Care to explain, or maybe a link or two that explains...This was the first place i landed so excuse my ignorance.

I am currently flowering a sativa dom hybrid under 11.5/12.5 she has no complaints, and I think ive noticed better results thusfar than my 12/12 runs in the past.

10 1/2 on seems to be a sweet spot at my house. I ran closer to 10/14 for a long time but settled at 10 1/2 after a couple power and timer issues. Just left it as 2 manual timers are within 5 seconds of each other.

Remember guys, the 2nd major aspect of this thread is FROM SEED. It's not about the ideal lighting schedule for flowering after veg. Respectfully please move to a different thread for that just so we can keep this strictly a "flowering light schedule directly from seed" discussion. Thank you and stay lifted. :-)

Hi, please watch the video I posted above. He is very knowledgeable and suggests going 11/13 from seed with his sativa's. Other than that just Google and come to your own decision to try it. I'm still learning with it as well. This thread will be a good resource as we all share our real world experiences with 12/12 (11/13, etc) from seed.
