Anyone use auto pots, im gona try them for a little mother inside my 80x80,
Was wondering how would yous go on, if wanting to start new seeds to go in there?

Just start as i am in smaller pots till they get a nice rootmass then go into the autopot after about 3 week or so

I've never used them but a friend has and he said he'd never go back after using them .... he reckons with the automatic feeding he had massive growth and yields ... i dno what medium he was using just he was running clones most clones around where I am come in small pots in coco tho

This is mainly just to veg a plant big enough for 30 cuts with minimal work watering them, i will hand feed one also and compare see if the autopot grows faster

I ran autopots for around two years.... had some great results but also had leaks and blockages. I was allways fastidious about cleaning too but it's just the way they are set up. You almost certainly will get leaks. Alien had now done there own version and it looks loads better and naturally more expensive as it's alien

I now run dwc and wouldn't ever set up the autopots again unless it's was out side for some tomatoes or somthing!!

Thanks for that, leaks in the pots or the res? as i could set them up in sum sort of tub in case of that.
So the set up for the valves is over complicated and fiddly with little rubber plugs that get build up on them.. these some time for no rhyme or reason seem to very occasionally stay open and the tray that it happens in will drain the entire res. This happend to me 4 times In two years and every time it was just after I had filled the res or a couple days after... I put a 1.2x 1.2 flexy tray in the bottom of the tent after the first time so damage was minimal was just a real pain to sort out..

I had one blockage that ended up just not filling/feeding one plant properly and it got poor. It's was very difficult to actually work out why it was poor becos it's didn't fully block but just wasn't giving the plant anywhere near enough from the Res.... again it was a real pain as my plants were scrogged down heavy..

The alien version uses and much simpler float valve and much larger pipes and they generally look much much better quality and I've heard they never block/leak

Mine is only to veg a 2 seeds or clones into something to get about 25-30 clones so i can run 1 or 2 phenos in the flower tent rather then a pack of seeds

Don't get me wrong they work and they are decent.. if you have easy access to clean it all and stuff and are ontop of cleaning they are good. I was getting tired of Coco anyways as it felt like I couldn't ever get it dialed in perfect. So tried one dwc bubble bucket and just fell in love with that way of growing.. for vegging a couple clones they might be just the job set your res up at least like 2 feet high so the pressure is good! And they shouldn't bother you too much

What dwc you running ? I bought a single dwc but got put off with having to get a water cooler to keep the temps inside it down to stop problems ? I've never used it it's only a single pot

I've just had a mate with the same issues... For me running a nutrient chiller is treating a symptom rather than prevention. I just ran three in a small tote in a 600x600x900 tent with a 200w led and Res temps never got above 22° I'm not sure why people Res temp getbso high unless using hps.

I don't think these are crosses I think
People are just putting names on stardawg to try and sell round me .... I'd be happy to run a pack of jjs stardawg but I haven't found any yet and I've smoked some chemdawg or a copy of it and was best weed I've smoked half a joint scared me I had to put it down .... I'm currently running a c4dd by verdant greens which is a Chem d x chem 4 then bx to the chem d I think or that sort of variation fingers crossed gassy smelly funk summit special I hope

£80 an eighth is robbery, don’t matter how good it is, that’s ridiculous!

If I still lived in the uk I’d be moving or growing enough to maintain.

I still remember when spray first emerged and the price of decent bud rocketed from £20 for a 3.5g to £10 a gram if you were lucky.
Crazy
£80 an 1/8, sorry, i just got back up off the fucking floor. be worth renting a place where he lives. :weed:
