The Truth about Nute burns PPM!!!

Well have done this every way possible and here is the skinny on PPM and nute burn!
In hydro people always say go up to around or at least no more than 1500 ppm. Well if you do that you better be ready for burn!!! Until well and I mean late into flower your PPM should not go above 800, 900 tops. I have seen burn every time in early flower at 1000ppm so if you want a good healty fast growing crop without all the problems top off your rez with only freash water inbetween rez changes and never go about 800 before long into flower meaning when good solid colas are there.... I have done this and I know so take it or don't and then burn away if you don't.....:hump:

I always start them off slow in hydro then buid up, i never go full dose, 1 week of water the start with the flower again about 1/4 then buid up, never full dose, finish last 2/3 weeks with water, works for me.

Also depends on the strain, some get greedy some dont, ive grew plants that are lovley and green and thriving in just a liitle feed and water for about 4 weeks in veg, leaves tell you all the story in their journey.

come on this is bad guys you just dont nute to a certain level and call it a day!

firstly depending on the brand and type of ppm meter you own they will all read differently

and then you must take into acount that every differnt strain has a differnt prefered PPM they require

and the prefered ppm of the plant changes through out its life cycle on top of all the above variables.

So this is how your ppm meter must be used:

say you nute up your water and it reads 500 ppm

if you com back the next day and your ppm is lower, then you know the 500ppm was not high enough and the plants want to eat more so you up the nutes

however if you came back the next day and the ppm was higher than 500 ppm. then you know the water is too full of nutes and your plants are trying to take up the water and leave some nutes behind. so then you know u need to reduce ppm by adding water or they will burn

that is the way to have optimal yields

then always monitor the very tiny tips on you leaves, if you see slight brownin or yelloing in the tippy tips then back off a lil

this method allows you to really push your plants to thier ppm limits without burning them:hug:

have a good weekend and a good crop:hump:
