The Truth About Flushing

Lots of great articles beyond the flushing topic, thanks! I've flushed, not flushed, and for the most part I have not noticed a difference. I did however notice a huge difference when I added a growth regulator once and it made the buds take on a horrible taste, it was a multi plant tray and being a seed grow there were different pheno's with different finish times, the later finishing plants were switched to plain in ph'd water and the bad taste was gone for the most part. Again this is the only time I have ever noticed a difference with my grows.
thats spot on, and describes a time/reason to flush I think, a successful one too as the others "switched to plain water lost the bad taste"
when I grew hydro all nutrient charts showed ppm's reducing as plants finished, this could be considered a flush no?
feed high ppm's to end and buds taste of a bag of lawn nitrogen ferts smells.

I'm always on the lower end of the amount of nutes added so that may help with any bad taste. The run I'm doing now the girls are crying out for more so yup I'll be cutting back at the end ;).

Boiling roots omg wtf is that ... How the THC level can be increase in matter of minute by adding boiling water it's straight delusion....Guys get a book and read please .
It DOES NOT increase THC LMAO

it is science, do some reading, it speeds up the cure by putting the plant in survival mode,
ALL plants do it. Perhaps read a botany book instead of a MJ book 8)

I wonder if all these tricks start with old
growers producing shitty weed trying to figure out how to make it better?

if they really worked they wouldnt be tricks instead they'd just be the way everyone does it.
Except it's not a trick, it's actual botany science, try googling how do plants survive a flood?
Or, What happens to plants when starved of oxygen?

same answer and it's in ALL the botany books

Why don't you include a link proving boiling the roots helps make the smoke better?

Instead of making another statement of your opinion of how Botany works and yelling in CAPS to make your point you did not include.

I want to learn. You just don't have anything to teach.

Well if ya had read the whole thread you would have seen I did back on page 23

Tis totally not my fault that folks that want to learn how to grow plants don't read botany books?

But hey, I'll copy it here for ya,,,,,,,,

Quote:
Green plants require oxygen for normal growth and development. The energy released in cellular respiration, from the breakdown of carbohydrates and complex organic molecules, consumes oxygen and releases CO2. Most plants respire continuously, day and night, requiring a continuous supply of oxygen. Anaerobic respiration or fermentation occurs in the absence of oxygen. The products of this form of respiration are often deleterious to the plant and the energy released is relatively small compared to aerobic respiration. Roots also require oxygen for aerobic respiration which they obtain directly from the growing media. The absorption of salts and root extension are dependent upon the energy supplied from respiration.

I didn't ask for a Botany lesson. I have read more than you ever have just this year.

I asked. And I am sure everyone would like to read. A reputable link that shows How boiling the roots speeds up the curing of the flowers over just cutting them off.

Or better. Like you want everyone to believe. How this makes my weed better?

Your method would just waste time and space in my flower room. And for absolutely no benefit.

I would also like you to explain why you flush every time you feed and speak out against flushing. But all your info was hypocritical. Just because you made up a new name. "Make it rain" doesn't change the fact you are still leaching your pots constantly.

I am pulling up my student desk for your next Botany lesson.

If I'm not mistaken, and please correct me if I'm wrong, this was a technique that was talked about in the original how to grow marijuana book in the late 60's (I'm guessing) and the ideal was to boil the roots and release all the THC in them (hand to forehead lol) and hang em upside down. As far as the cure thing I have no clue but pretty sure a few here have tried it. But yup started as a hippy myth :).

Wait for what? @RM3 feels anyone who disagrees with him is a hater and a troll. So we are all automatically wrong.

He has a website full of people who don't argue his made up crap to go hide in.

Even if he links something. It will be cherry picked or edited. He just doesn't actually know is the answer.
I don't know if he's right or wrong as I've never tried it in the way he is..... but I did boil the roots and hang em up ...... I read the book, I was 14 lol.
