The Trade war between the US and Communist China

Humans sure do love their "isms", don't they?
Hello, new member!

Welcome to the Politics forum.

Will you be voicing your support for President Trump immediately or will you be pretending to be a moderate first? We can't wait to find out.

Hello Well-Known Member. I'm neither a fan of moderates or Mr. Trump, but thank you for the warm welcome.

I can see you are all just waiting to start shit with someone around here. I'll be leaving now, so I suppose you will just have to wait a bit longer to find out.

Best of luck with the circle-jerk.

The main disagreement I have with this post is the notion that American elites or politicians are held accountable for their behavior. Other than that, it's a solid assessment of why China is rising so much faster than the United States.

China isn't the lost cause; we are. Until we get a handle on our runaway corruption we're going to fall behind, no matter how many nukes, carriers, jets or foreign bases we have.

Whenever you have imposed regulation you are instilling corruption into the market system. Therefore you cannot impose different regulations to cleanse the corruption out. It's a self evident impossibility.

Those of you who don't understand how a truly free market works continually play a game of government orchestrated regulated market musical chairs and think somehow a "solution" will be found.

Consumer choice "market feedback" in a truly free market is the aspect you don't comprehend. It's like you lost your car keys in the driveway, but you continually look for them in your living room, because there's better lighting there. Too funny.

Logical fallacy, as is most of what you post.

Since you are impervious to reason, I won't bother discussing your ignorance any further.

I'm not impervious to reason or against being proven wrong. If I'm wrong I certainly want to learn why...don't you?

I'm confident you won't "correct" my statement though, because you presuppose that regulation is a given and beyond scrutiny.

I don't mean to be rude, but you are a Bernie Sanders supporter, which isn't a ringing endorsement of your economic acumen.

Not to get into it too far, you seem to have more experience on the ground and of an interpersonal nature. The ethnic Chinese were called the "Jews of Asia" by the British all through out south east Asia, they ran a huge proportion of the business and were resourceful capitalist, I try to stay with in cultural boundaries and stay away from race, were all just the human race. Cultures like languages are passed down through the ages and confusion-ism is still strong in China, values are passed along too. When these people (culturally speaking) are unleashed by capitalism and technology look out, they have awoken from history.
An interesting bit to digest is the apparent infatuation many mainland Chinese have toward Jewish people. It is considered very prestigious to do business with Jews or to marry a Jew in China. Many books are very popular in Mandarin that purport to teach people to "do business as Jews do" or to glean business wisdom from the Talmud. I have had taxi drivers in Shanghai ask if I am Jewish. My Mandarin isn't very good though so I could be misinterpreting some of it.

What's the difference between a Bernie supporter and a Trump supporter?
