I was reading online lastnite how Caregivers in California have joined the Teamster's Union..
The Teamster's are right & back their ppl IMHO.. I support this and do whole heartily believe this to be the way or the rights steps towards legitamizing Medical Marijuana across the board & to bring quality standards up to par & providing the Medical Marijuana Community with the upper hand and the Muscle needed to stop this Bullshit wrangling going on..

Until and unless a marijuana lobby exists to "fund" political change, the various industries (pharmaceutical) against
its legalization will continue to reep the benefits they've enjoyed by funding (political contribution) the advertising campaign of marijuana demonization.
When the amount of money spent on both sides is more equal, only then will
those on the pro marijuana side start to enjoy some of this "pay to play" 21st century democracy.

Use the tools we have before laying them down to go buy new tools. Have you voted on the We the People site? Would A Petitiom for Legalization for each state be better than ten times the nessacary votes on 1 Legalize MJ petition?

TBH, I think we're past the point of ammending state legislation. The only way we're going to end this constant harassment of patients and growers is to go to the federal level, have cannabis rescheduled, decriminalized, legalized and regulated. Do you think this WE THE PEOPLE shit is going to make a difference? Obama knew how important medical cannabis was to the american people. He used it as a tool to get our votes and turned around sent the dogs after us. I signed every related petition on that site but I think we will all be disappointed at the results of it.

Keep doing what we can on a state level but even CA still has problems due to federal law. The biggest impact we can have right now is to make sure Ron Paul gets into office in 2012. Then you will see some major changes in this war on cannabis.

Ron Paul.....one can only dream... I honestly think that he would be assassinated before ever being our President.

Did I misstate my point? 50k sign 2 or 3 Legalize Petitions. Start 50 Petitions 1 for each state: which would better serve political interests? Numbers in your district/state. Obama opened the door how to best flood it?

There's already enough signatures on the "We the People" petition that Obama has to answer it. If you think his response to that is going to be a positive one you are setting yourself up for a disappointment.

What good is a state wide petition to legalize going to do? If legalization gets on a ballot I'm not so sure there are enough voters who would support it. MI is getting to be just like CA, a lot of the "growers" don't want it totally legal, there's too much money to be had. The black market has been turned into a legal market. With no jobs in the state, if it was legalized there would be even more sources of income down the drain..

I just don't see it happening on a state level.

It would create even more jobs. Canna-business would explode. You know I grow a vegetable garden every season yet I still go buy vegetables from farmers markets (yes JOC the kind with corn) & grocery stores. There's plenty of room to make $ if legalized. Throw hemp in there and MI has jobs again.
