The spider mite mystery

After this grow I'll have to try what SW said.

The Worryfree pretty much kills on contact.

Monterey Garden spray is a starvation control measure from my understanding.

They are almost as bad as the friends who come around when you got smoke , when you don't they are no where to be found...

oh wait scavengers! bastards!

Found this on another grow site, and it sounds like it has worked so well for him, he had to search out other spider mite infested plants to continue his tests. Take it for what it's worth. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to:

this stuff kills mites!! its all i use.
have fun killing those little bugers

1/4 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Apple Cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
2 drops dish detergent
1/4 Teaspoon Epsom Salts

Take a cup of very hot water and desolve the epsom salts, take rest of ingredients and place in a clean 2 liter bottle and let work out. Add epsom solution. Add water to fill to 48ozs(3/4 full).Shake well.

TO USE: Cover soil/medium with plastic, with lights off mist plant all over, especialy under leaves,
Wait 20 mins, then spritz off with clean fresh water shaking as much water off plant as you can.
The fresh water spritz rinse will remove the solution along with the desolved remains of the mites and their eggs.

Have fun with your new "Mite Eradicator"

Note by MrFixit: Water plants 1/2 hour before spraying. This will help keep your plants from absorbing the spray.

This solution has been tested and used as directed will not burn plants, the rinse is very important though as it removes the spent solution before it can concentrate and burn the plant. It also removes most of the dead mites and eggs so you don't end up smoking them.

The formula can be diluted further,to 1 liter and it will still kill the mites but isn't as effective at dissolving and removing the mite parts.
Since removing the mite debris is desirable,I recommend the stronger solution, just remember to rinse and shake.
This formula is alkaline(about 7.8-FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=" so please remember to rinse.

Mite irradication is absolutely assured and guaranteed if used as directed.
I've never seen ANYTHING work this well for mite irradication!!
I used to gas my booths for mites,it worked but they came back,I haven't seen a living mite in a long time now. They haven't come back, partly because of cooler weather, partly because I hosed the Roses that were infecting everything with the formula and wiped out all the mites during testing.
The only thing I wish I'd done different is,I wish I would have done sections of the Roses and preserved
some of the mites for later tests.I've had to go searching for victims to test it on and there just aren't any left!! I did find some victims for my final tests in the park where we have meetings, the plants by the river are pretty sickly and infested(were I should say,I walked around with ONE pint bottle and cleaned up most of the area.LOL)
If news of this formula were to become widespread, mites would become an endangered species!!!So GOOD HUNTING !

I have used 8 products that claim kills on contact but doesnt work anymore they wash up in it. They are super immune and they suck

-"One reason that spider mites become a problem is insecticides that kill their natural predators."

-"The twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae is a serious pest of a variety of agricultural crops and ornamental plants. This mite has been recorded to feed on more than 180 different plant species in both greenhouse and outdoor environments."

I did some research and it seem like it's not really just the marijuana they like but the the temperature and humidity. Mabey it's just easier for them to live one the weed. The leaf structure or something?

Yes Avid is very nasty stuff and I have never had any luck with predator mites

lately what has worked great for me is AzaMax

I use lady bugs and Azamax together. The Azamac is pricey but defiantly does the job. Kills on contact when used as a floral spray and makes the plant poisonous when watered for a couple weeks.

Ok I found a combo I am going to try here. Did some searching and ended up on good old ebay talking with a few hydro ganja supporters and am going this route...

I would recommend Floramite SC. It is very low on the toxic scale amd will kill the mites within three days. And the eggs. I would recommend dipping first to be sure u got the whole plant, unless its flowering!!! The Azatrol is a great organic mainly used for maintenaince, after the floramite kills em. Also spray the surrounding area and anything u think may have mites on it.
Forbid 4F is also good but slower than Floramite,it is also low on the toxic scale.
Remember that mites get immune quickly to one miticide. Its always good to have a alternate in your spraying routine.

I am ordering these 2 products should be about$35 shipped for the 2 and will give them ago. I tried a heavy humidy of about 80% but that is a whole new issue you can make at that high a humidity watching for mildew mold or rot.

Sounds like a good one glad you posted it. I do room cleans before and after grows i mean i scrub spray sterilize but like I said last almost year these new spider mites just dont give. i saw one last night in the kitchen makin a turkey and ham sub with mustard. mayo and a diet coke..I hate these mites[/QU

i know this thread is old but i have to say L M A O !!!!! you think you got probs? atleast your mites go make they're own sandwiches, they got me in check so bad i am the one making them the snacks!

on a serious note, i tried everything you dide, sprayed and cleaned everything, even left a clean room alone for 2 weeks and they came back, i liked using rotenone pyrethrins concentrate cus i could just ramp up the strength, then i discovered lady bugs, they were good at first but not eradicating them but just keeping the populations down enough to the point where you dont get webbing everywhere, the mites reproducing faster than the lady bugs can eat, the best way i think its pest manamgment, starting with one of those products that you either spray or put in the res, these get into the plants system and kill any bugs who try to feed on them, these products also kill the eggs by suffocation, this is key we can kill the adults easy its the damn eggs, i think with some predetor mites and the expensive products you will be ok, atleast that what i have to try myself now...key word here is multi-pronged attack and the rotation of mite killing products so they dont became Filthy Fletch super mites

Well last night I dreamed about a team of S.East.Asian girls with their nimble fingers and incrediably tiny tweezers. I'll try Craigslist to hire. Respectfully Blucross.
