The Soil

Wow very helpful post thanks. May I ask you do you think the halogens with the lumens I said work?
The halogen will not work. All it will do is make tons of heat and very little light the plant can actually use. The CFLs you have should suffice for a week or two depending on how many plants you are growing.

So your saying for the days before my seed sprouts and a few days after it sprouts the 3000k will be okay?

I have $1.95 to order something online with what worthwhile thing could I get with $1.95 I couldn't find any outlet to socket things for under $1.95 it was like $2.95 so if anyone would like to donate me $1 that'd help too but if not what thing should I buy with $1.95 (on my debit card.)

Okay, I value your opinion but I just want to be sure can anyone confirm that I cannot use two 3000k to equal one 6000k if it's aimed at the same plant?
It is the wavelength of the light. The hotter a blackbody emitter is the shorter the wavelength light it emits. Heat a chunk of iron. It starts red moves to orange and then yellow as you heat it. The 3000K stands for 3000 Kelvin. The temperature of the light source. 10,000K emits some actinic light.
To reiterate wavelength is proportional to temperature. Look up black body emitter at Wiki
