Yes it will stink the whole place up unless you have good ventilation with a carbon filter.
when youhave 10 plants in the 5th week of flower you are going to smell so stinky the cops next county over will smell and know its you.
dont grow unless you are prepared for the smell and other nasty things....excessive energy usage, lights..etc

10 plants in an apartment sounds like bust waiting to happen. You will have no room for error. I run a carbon filter with a inline fan and just last night I made a mistake with the settings on the timer causing it to turn off way too long. In less than an hour my lady and I were woke up by the smell....and that's just 3 ladies with 2 weeks of 12/12.

Visit ur local grocery! Get some blackstrap molasses. for more than ur smell.
1. it will eliminate your odor by 50% atleast
2. it will supplement your res ( blackstrap molasses has iron, mag, cal, and othe elements that our little girls need)
3. it can add up to 20% to ur harvest!
4. all that and it doesnt hurt ur potency!
How bout that!...... please research BM soon as I am not informed enough to provide more detailed info( the reasons why it does these things), but i do know it works (frm experience!) Im currently growing 40 plants of Super OG and let me tell u..... that stuff is soooo skunky! while i was veggin i was going to put up my carbon filter cuz it smelled like two skunks fuckin in my spot!!!!!! but as soon as i put in the BM with my res......"sim sim sala bim" Poof the smell was gone! \
If you have the funds? only if..... a good investment would be a carbon filter and exhaust fan. ask ur local hydro store guy about specifiacations..... as i dont know the size of ur room or the quality of ur babies i will not assume i can provide u with accurate information to solve ur problem in a inexpensive manner!

One time I grew in a closet (I use cabinets now) and just ONE plant flowering did infact stink up the entire apartment.
People would have to know that smell to identify it, when my 'baby momma' came over she thought I was having sex in there with someone or that it was just filthy stinky dog ass.
I'll be honest, that smell is not very fun to live with when it's persistantly in your life....its almost nausiating.
Obviously, it goes without saying, that if you're a younger guy with lots of friends still coming over, you better put the kabosh on that.

Carbon filters get rid of the smell as where ONA masks the smell. I have 12 plants and use a carbon filter and its fine but it did smell without it and it was seeping from my basement to the outside but now its fine!!!

"This filter" is a large non-mechanical can shaped object. It's a simple design that forces air to pass through pounds of carbon chunks VIA a inline fan. It is typically placed inside the grow area and connected to ducting. The ducting runs somewhere outside the grow area so it maybe exuast the clean air. You don't have to exaust to the outdoors but it's usually the best method. I vent my sealed hood as well and I don't like hot air venting from my basement into cold air. Its very noticable so I don't do it.
