just wondering if all the smoke and ash were getting here in Fresno from the rough fire is harmful or will have negative effects on plants??

for those who are not from around here its 110,000 acres burning in the Sierra Nevada's kings cannon national forest 30 miles from Fresno. this morning we were welcomed with thin sheets of ash on are windshields. and sadly cannabis leafs and buds??

i hope for the growers in that area that all is well and your gardens well be safe!!

Here in lake county it rained ash for a day during the rocky fire. It didn't seem to hurt them but they were in early flower/pre flower then. The local nursery told me mites are traveling with the ash but I think that's BS

i dont know about the mite thing ether sounds a little far fetched but i could maybe see that for like a russet mite if the ash was big enough.

Uh huh... and exactly how is the mite going to survive being burned first? How else is it catching a lift on ash?
i peace of ash floats along from a fire 30 miles away i assume it is no longer hot ash considering it didn't burn little holes in the leafs of my plants or anything of this nature and not hot to the touch. any way it floats along lands on a cannabis plant infested with the mite mite crawls on said peace of ash wind blows and bam who knows how far it could go. again a little far fetched but still never under estimate nature.
