Why be a "bum" when you can be a paid errand Boy?
If you can drive you can Collect metal for Recycling. And it doesnt start and end with cans.
Think about the money making Activities (legal) that you can do

im retired Air Force... im a semi bum. I was injured and just plain dont wanna go work. i HATE
people, and dont liek being around them, or having to deal with them
My wifey never bitches or trys to make me go find a job. She is cool liek that, i clean the house, and bone her a few times a day and she goes to work and i liek it that way.

The wife works and I take care of 2 kids so can't do the recycling thing. Where I am the people doing the recycling thing are a dime a dozen so not very profitable driving a big v8. However I have been doing a little buying and selling and keeping the bank account alive, sucks being broke.
I have been out since Feb 2009. If not for my many many hobbies I would be climbing the walls by now.im out of work since feb 11 being a bum is good the first few months then it is real shitty having no money.... i get by by staying high
How does that old saying go? Weed will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no weed.

I got made redundant after 12 years working at the same place, that was 18 months ago lucky for me the other half is minted

I was working as a security guard, minimum wage went up past what we were making so there was no point in me staying and risking my life for minimum wage. So I quit. They were also ripping me off in pay, and I was getting like 14 hours a week unless there was a big fire or something. Plus you can get fibromyalgia I think it is from standing in one place too long, which I did a lot of.
I was also placed in the psych ward for a month because I smoke pot and they thought I was schizophrenic. But something really bad had happened to me that I'd rather not say, and thats why I appeared to be schizophrenic. I told the doctors and they didn't believe me at all. They said it was a dream. It quickly subsided within a month or two. But that gave me an in on provincial assistance. I get $700 a month just because I was in the psych ward. No questions asked. When I get a job, they will still pay me at a reduced rate depending on how much I make. Plus with the other help I get through I guess councilor kinda dealy I have a free ride to any college/university I want, including books just because I was in the psych ward. All I have to do is prove I'm capable of going to school.
The government run liquor store is hiring from now till christmas and I got an interview this month so I'm hoping for a job, and possibly a perm job afterwards. Working for the government kicks ass, really nice pay, awesome benefits, zero unions, and they treat you very good.
