The right distance between Cob LEDs?

Hi,

I am Growing with 4 x 55 Watt LEDs (COB) the space i growing in are 80x80x160cm.

The distance between the LEDs you can see in my pics i try to give all of the 4 Plants the best light possible but maybe the distance is not right what you think?


The distance to the plants are 30cm i hanging the lights lower later in flowering for more power.

Hard to tell from that angle how far above the canopy the lights are but with a 55 watter you want it to be covering about 15 x 15 inch area. So raise it high enough that it covers that much area.

Looks like your canopy temperature is at 21C so getting closer shouldn't be a problem and air movement ensures even humidity throughout your grow.
Get a light meter, even a 10$ soil tester with light meter can tell you more about light intensity in different spots.

If you go by leaf temperature then, from what I understand, you can run into issues with high power LEDs, because it doesn't line up with how people are used to spacing out other types of lighting. IIRC, it has something to do with the intensity of the light from each LED hitting the leaves. This is why you will see a lot of people say to never put COB or QBs closer than 18".

I think mine are clothier 30cm but my buds looking not burnt ore so. I do a lux meter check with a App it's says 32.000 lux at the top canopy, on the wall they are 12.000 lux
