Late to the party, but bro!!! I've never thought about trying to clone from a flowering plant near the end. Phenomenal work OP! Love learning tricks, especially if one of the 8 diff genetic seeds I got from a friend peak my curiosity to want to breed.
Now I know with some heart and soul it can be done without sacrificing a sensimilla harvest. Take a branch, reveg, pollinate. Especially this "Irene" strain given to me. Only one seed bc it was the giver's most coveted strain in inventory.

Blue Moon Rocks...this is a collateral damage clones. When ya train plants ya break stuff off sometimes. A clone is a nice reward for the oops..
SFV OGbx3..it's a flowering clone. Bent over...popping out some growth quick now.
The tester air layer CJ is doing okay. I plan on doing this a lot more. I don't plan on keeping this plant. I just wanna see some new growth and then I'll discard it.

Flowering clones take an extra step but in the end they are worth the effort. One under a floater or stationary screen will out perform a normal cut or seed grow.
21days is ideal time to take them. Longer into flower takes a bit longer to root sometimes and definitely takes longer for the bud to unfold and reveg.

What a difference a little playing around with early training and floater screens can make. The type of plant makes a big difference as well.
A seed plant with no early tie down training. It was planted and left to grow normally. Did some heavy super cropping on it and it finished in a floater. Not a lot going on under there.
Stepping it up a little is a normal clone that was trained down as soon as it rooted and was up potted.
The flowering clone is the winner under any screen. It will out perform all others. Once regenerated every leaf that emerges a branch comes with it. Doesn't take long to fill a space with that kind of growth. These clones take an extra step to reveg but they are worth the wait.
Cleaning out the undergrowth. Well, that's totally up to you. I've done it both ways and can't really see any difference.
My main goal in cleaning out undergrowth is one, to take clones and two, to increase ventilation on a plant that is clumped up and leafy.
Does removing growth below make bigger buds? Some believe so. I do it for other reasons but it may help.

How'd that chicken wire work for ya? Did ya have to cut it out at harvest. I use 2"x3" grid and sometimes have to stretch them at harvest pulling buds through.
Very nice scrog. Great use of a small space.

Its the only scrog i have done and got lucky with timing flowering and tucking, so their wasnt much to deal with in or below the screen. Watering was a nightmare. The wire worked good being so rigid compared to rope but i should have used something with slightly larger holes

Yeah chicken wire is not ideal but it'll work. I prefer wire over netting any time. It holds the plants better.

When I flipped this girl she was not fully revegged. Wasn't sure what I'd get. Ida thought better but it's ended up with a ton of loose popcorn buds. Big big fun trimming this thing.
These buds look like normal ones but they are not. They unfold in your hand with tons of marble size buds and very few much bigger. It's almost like it forgot to glue everything together.
At least now I know now and I won't be making this mistake again.
So from now on it's fully revegged or it stays in veg till it is.
Luckily I have a few nice clones of her so I'll run her again soon. It won't take to long for this to get going. It'll be nice to get a normal run at this strain. I sampled some and it's pretty damn potent so I'm excited about the next round of it.

Flower tent is looking kinda bare but still doing it's thing. Swapped out the filter sock and swept out the place.
The three bushy top girls will get a floater at about 10 days. I'm trying a different approach this time. See what happens.
Cap Junky Chem91 trained her under for 10days and she 3 wks now. I think I hit her just right on timing.
Big and small floaters be floatin in the veg tent. Won't be long and I'll have the big and little tent in flower.

Strawberry Banana..this leafy girl. She was a mess last round but I liked her potency n flavor so why not another farewell harvest.
Just days in flower it's kicking out some nice branching. Pretty big bush flowering clone. Monday it gets a floater and then it's off to harvest. Last run with this strain. I've got to many others needing cracked or cloned.
Took lots of leaf tonight. I'll remove any I need to at ten days, throw on a floater and let it fly.
These GreenCrack MangoHp queens are phat n wide. Both are monster clones and the branching is sick. Pics don't give these justice. They are going to make some nice sizes plants.

Sharing my high tech propagation method for clones.
1 cup, tap water, gel, and a knife. Stove top light seems to do the trick so that's where I put them.
Cap Junky Chem91 snagged some clones at 21days flower. 12/18 I took 6 of these so I'm going to keep track of just how long this 21day clone takes to root and reveg. I predict withing 45 days I'll have a nice flowering clone revegged and ready to roll for the next crop.
SFV OGbx3 are ready for a pot.
The Blue Moon Rocks gets a few more days but going in medium soon.This is a normal clone. A remnant of training. Things go snap sometimes and if there no fixing it a clone is a nice reward for an unexpected break off.
I've done the domes and stuff like that with clones too but this seems to give me a easy method that works prob 90% of the time. Just provide clean tap water every few days and they do well.

Blue Moon Rocks clones is prob mad now but she'll get over it. Split her North n South or East n West whatever..lol. Time to lay this girl out. It's a regular clone from an accidental snap off.
At this stage I remove a lot of leaf. It's gonna grow back fast and by doing this I'll see a nice bounce in some branch production. In a few weeks she should be very bushy like a flowering clone.

Two more plants in flower last night.
The Cap Junky is ready to go. I was going to let it veg a little longer but it's a clone and should blow up pretty good in the next few weeks.
It's looking kinda shaggy in there compared to most of my early flower set scenarios. No floaters till the reach day ten of flower.
Stripped a lot of leaf from these two but they will bounce back stronger and kick out some nice branching for the floater.
These are both regular clones. You can see the GreenCrack MangoHp flowering clones behind them. They almost match the mass of the big monster clones. Early training helps that along with regular clones.

I do this just about every night. If a plant doesn't have a floater screen I like to tickle out the branches. Does it do anything? Nah, it's just a personal thing I do. Talk softly and woo them into a false sense of security. As plan their death behind their back.

One thing I like about it. Even if they don't like the tunes, they don’t complain. Really looking forward to my next run this will be fun.
