The REAL perfect cure everytime

No I understand but 62% seems a little high for cure. I have always thought 60% or higher was a little extreme and I have had issues at the level. I'm no expert but I try to keep my curing below 50% now. I may have to purchase a couple and give them a try, because it could be my process, not the percentage. JAS
62% is pretty much agreed upon as the right humidity for curing by scientists and all the fancy people like Cervantes and Rosenthal if its lower than that its not curing its just getting dried out and if its higher than that it molds and rots

Interesting:

Each Boveda consists of a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt. This saturated solution is contained within a water-vapor permeable “reverse osmosis” membrane. Within an enclosed container, Boveda maintains a predetermined level of (RH) by releasing or absorbing purified water-vapor as needed through the membrane.

Sounds like it would be simple to make

You would just get an evaporation humidifier and an exhaust fan being run by a humidistat
Thats alot to go through, thats why the pack would be awesome.

I use my flower tent to dry/cure my buds if my veg is behind schedule and i set the fan to turn on and off for an hour every 3-4 hours.

Works really nice but as of lately my veg has been waitin for my flower to pick up so im back to the closet.

Thats why a fat ass 250-500g pack would be awesome. adjust the jumidity for a small closet.

Ive debated getting bulk silica gel but they dont regulate just absorb.

Noob questions: How long before its ready? Or at least how long? Also is it necessary to hang your buds, or just put them directly into optimal humidity condition via magic pak

dry first. jar for a couple weeks at least, a month would be better.

the problem i've had with humidipacks is mold during long term storage. i think 62% is too wet, it smokes pretty good but 59 or 60% would be a little safer. also dealers will think your trying to rip them off lol.

What size packs are you using? The 8g packs are supposed to be good for 14 to 28g I believe. Boveda's website has a chart. I've been using 2 8g packs per 1/2gal mason jar. The 1/2 gal mason jars hold about 2oz. I just started using these so I don't have any opinion yet but if they work they sure will save me a lot of burbing.

i think they are meh. they dont do a good job of dropping the humidity if you jar it to wet. They do pretty good if its already sitting at 50-something%. They can regoo slightly to dry buds. But if you jar to fast with them its mold city. I think a 55% would be better.

So do you suggest burbing also? And if so how often for how long? I was planning on checking my jars after a week but now your scaring me. I'm using 2 8g packs per half gal. mason jar.

I have the medium size packs. one in each jar. I bought/ordered the mason jar food saver lid and vacuum pump to vacuum seal my jars. :)

One question for anyone that has used these packs...

Do you just toss them directly into your jars? In other words, are they just laying directly on top of the buds or do you have to secure them to the underside of the lids? Maybe tape them to the underside?

I'm wondering also. Checked out the retailers and theres one down the street from me. I'm picking them up reguardless.
