Same Light, Same Enclosure from Day 1 on a 12/12 schedule...it was repeated over and over. I think he once agreed you could put it under the big led in your main box if no HPS hit it, but again, that would've had to been a decision from Day 1.

1b) Each Contestant Can Start 5 Cups But Must Declare 1 Entry For Flowering

1c) For The Dirt Growers(1) 1/4 Inch Hole Centered On The Bottom Of The Cup Is Ok For Flushing Purpose's

2) Light Must Be Led Only Yes For Those With 1/2 A Brain Cob's Are Leds And Are Allowed(No HID's Cmh's Or Induction) Each Contestant Must Start With And Finish With The Same Light.

2a) No Autos Allowed. We Have Tried That And It Didnt Work.

3) Each Contestant Must Start 12 x 12 From Seed With No Vegging. Start Date Will Be Feb 14 2018

Wouldn't using 2 of the same shop lights be the same light just one is off acting as a dimmer? That was not intentions.
It takes a min of 2 to do the job but why would I turn both on to germinate.
I showed the light several times & am not switching, just want to add the second one upon sexing & getting bigger.
Also, I showed the red flood light. I should be able to turn it on n off when I want. Like giving it 3 hrs a day if I choose right?
Can I or can I not turn my light up (switching on the other side) My light consists of 2 shop lights zip-tied together.
I'll 86 the red one of its a big deal but damn.
The 2 shop lights are the same, just didn't see why I'd need to put them on full blast to germ.
Am I good ?

Usually it's fine if you specifically say "these are the lights" in initial post. Or one time I remember there was a rule that it all had to be "one fixture" weather that was zip tied together or whatever.
@The Dawg I don't see any issue with dueling shop lights and a far red puck, no fear here - Allow it??

Yea I see no issue either. If it were, like, starting with a screw in bulb and adding a main light after id have said that broke rules. Dawgs bible book tho.

Same as dimming a big ass fixture or shutting down part of a light with a modular led panel.
He's not trying to bring out some big guns half way through or something like that

Been wanting to partake in the party cup comp since I came to RIU, would suck if I get the boot when I'm trying so hard to follow the rules.

Let him roll with duel shop lights and let's get on with this show

Im not in the comp so my 'pinion prolly dont matter but if you want to be literal about the rules, you shouldnt be able to add lights. Adding another of the same light effectively doubles your photon input, this is very similar to dimming a light, except for the fact you are still using the SAME light when you are dimming...

You do know that when I'm talking shit it's just for the fun of the game, I'm not really an asshojecthat wants others to fail. Geese, thought that was obvious.
Either way. Dawg calls the rules & since day one it's been ok to use 2 of the same light or even 5 screw ins. It just wasn't clear to me that I'd have to have them both running for germ as it's not necessary & was intended as a dimming function.
Like I was totally thrown off by HydroCupping but after joking about it I let that go. Wheather I'm wrong or right, I want to see us all play as long as nobodies trying to get over on the rest of us & we're all having fun.
You guys know I can't flower that thing w/ only that light. It's Garbo & loses its par x3 every 1/2". It's only half my light dimmed for germ.

Ha, those are all Dawgs words when there was a rebellion. I've just understood this was a Rule following comp because it's The traditional comp. I really don't care, but I did look at those rules left, right, upside down and zig zag to make sure I followed and complied.

60% of the players havent even shown their lights.
Some are just getting them in the mail.
Wouldn't it make more sense for us to all submit our lights at the same time for a final submission?
Like this week maybe seeing how some have began sexing.
That would be more fair, feel like I'm being singled out here cuz I said something about switching out just to mess around & get those knees shaking. Looks like it worked, tooooo good... I said this because 1/2 of us haven't submitted a final light yet I don't think & we haven't even sexed yet so the real growing hasn't begun.
Dimmer man, 1 shop light is just a 1/2 power function. My sad attempt at DIY while trying to care for many monsters in the real world.
You seriously won't let me add the other light. Didn't seem to care about my wanting to add the red flood light or that I said I'd be using multiple screw in lights possibly when I was still deciding. And ya, I may have had you confused for someone else on the PM.
Also, where does it say ANYWHERE that we need a set enclosure?

Having a hard time sexing 5 in this. Was planning on using it for the pick by now if it was big enough but I doubt it is. Would like to PandaWrap a spot for the chosen one. There's that 12/12 from seed inexperience kicking in I guess. Getting tight.
