dont know if you read it prebs, but thanks, i posted and its a couple pages back now, i tested a bud and im so stoked, this shit pretty dam good, will start my next soil grow in a few days and gonna cut her down this friday.

yeah man trying to catch up and i think i got it all... got an ultra stoned from it, thats great, and the plant looks beautiful. and glad i could help. but cant wait to see the new grow start all again.. you and me both

I move them down so they are right over my plants. and the lights on the side when the plants get bigger will light the side and under side of my plants......at least thats my idea but idk maybe it wont work.

naw that sounds legit rob, i would rig a tin foil half lamp shade to dirrect the light towards the light and upwards tho =]

If growiNg for medical personal reasons is a vertical hangig bulb efficient? Or just the hps reflective hood? What about that cool tube bulb?
Fudgin mites r still webbin my girls damn!!!
Leafs are lightgreen and some yellowing I think I have been flushing out the nutes. ?

Right on I feel you man rly I been here trying to think of a ghetto reflector I could make because I'm too cheap to buy mylar. I thnk I might have to break down and buy some then fashion some half lamp type thing with some cardboard and mylar

I am guessing that the CFL's are for lighting the area under the canopy where those little buds are always shaded.

The underside of the leaves are more sensitive you should be careful about using low lights, you may hurt more than help.

how well does tin foil work? i always thought it would very well as a reflective surface but i have heard on multiple forums that tin foil doesnt do shit??? you ever use it yourself?? i have a 600watt MH w/ reflector but i dont have shit on the walls (except some shitty ass old ass faded white paint) i cant afford mylar yet and i was thinkin about some tin foil...

tin foil is kinda reflective, but it creates hot spots that can burn the holy shitt out of ur plants. if its more then 1ft away id say its good, but emergency blankets are about $2.50-3.50 and WAY more reflective then foil. some white paint is more reflective then foil is too.

I've seen wrapping paper mentioned in another thread, here on RIU. Either they silvered reflective kind, if you can find it, with the blank mirrored side out, or just regular old wrapping paper, with the blank white side facing out. The emergency blankets is a good idea, too. You can find them at Walmart in the sporting goods section, with all the camping supplies. Crazy cheap, too.

I thought emergency blankets absorbe the heat more then reflect it? Or am I wrong?
I just thought I heard that somewhere.....

thats what i used, there less than $3, cant beat that.

Just silver wrapping paper huh? Might have to try that.

Anyone know where I can get a cheap magnify glass? And what x do I need (10x, 20x, 30x)? I heard 30x somewhere but I went and looked at wally world and office depot today and could only find 10x max.....

iv heard 30x, and you can find them at radio shack. emergency blankets are just as reflective as mylar, and yes the do obsorb some heat but still reflect all the wavelenghts of light. so its actually a plus, more energy with less heat =]
iv never hear of wraping paper? but i myself used dorito chip bags inside out, the one with silver inside. man they are reflective as hell!

i also heard about the cheap mylar wrapping paper, it can be found at like a dollar store or places like party world. get more that a 10x scope, trust me, its all i have right now, it works, but you deff need more.
