The NRA

I'm trying and don't doubt your cred. You were right about my President. But, the polls ask questions in a certain way and don't reflect anything but political marketing. Don't you agree with that?

I already gave some poll questions.....did you try those?

The NRA is an association of about 4 million regular-joe citizens. It espouses the political viewpoint of those citizens...

try again, smarty.

the NRA does not even advocate for the rather moderate positions that its members hold overall.*

should i show you the polls where a clear majority of NRA members support comprehensive background checks? or would that break your stupid little heart, old man?

the NRA only advocates for one thing: that mass america's murderers be the best equipped, and that america's mass murderers face no impediments in becoming well equipped to slaughter a classroom full of kindergarteners.

It doesn't surprise me that you hoplophobes detest regular Americans having a voice in government.

the NRA represents a fringe 1% of americans.

in fact, an NRA member just ran for president versus someone who is not an NRA member. guess who won?

if you want to know what "regular americans" want, i'm happy to share:

90% or more of americans want comprehensive background checks
70% of americans want a gun registry
65% of americans see no need for civilians to have high capacity mags
55% of americans see no need for civilians to have military style assault rifles

Every one of these (anti constitution) "sensible gun control" proposals has but one aim: the ultimate disarming of American citizens.

actually, all of the above listed proposals, favored by a majority of regular americans, are all constitutional AND allow you to keep all your guns, you fucking idiot.

check the heller decision, you moronic bag of crap.

Let me give you a pro-tip. If you want to snatch the guns out of the hands of American citizens, then put forth a constitutional amendment to revoke the second amendment and to substitute one that says, "No person may own a weapon of any kind in the United States." Get that one passed and then we can at least enter an honest debate on the topic. Until then, you are just a useful fool of those in power.

not how it works, doucheface.

every single one of the gun safety measures that a majority of americans supports is fully consistent with the second.

again, i refer you to the heller decision.

take that dose of reality and kindly shut the fuck up. no need for a senile, deluded old racist like you to be on here spreading lies, mmmmkay?

i'm not going to cater to your delusions.

poll after poll after poll has comprehensive background checks at 90% or more public support.

senators who voted against manchin-toomey have seen massive drops in their support.

those who voted with manchin-toomey have seen massive leaps in their support.

i have cited all of this.

disprove me or stop your empty whining, ya old coot.

a tampon might help you as well.

Well, I can refuse to argue. And I have plainly said I don't disapprove of you and I consider you quite the master of this forum game....remember that?

I am asking you what are your opnions on opinion polls, only.

Gallup always reliable?
Do the questions matter?
Does it matter the stats become political fodder?
is the form of the question have anything to do with it?
Can you Plus or Minus any issue, based on the question?

Do polls serve agendas? Fox poll, MSNBC Poll? CNN? Local polls?

In short is it responsible to ask questions when it presumes a Constitutional change, for example?
Is it responsible to ask questions that assume more people are killed by their own guns, for example?

Can't the question be more of what I have suggested?

I may be old, but I don't blink.
Why or why not?

you two retards are the same two retards who refused to believe the polls had obama at 90% to win.

in fact, one of you two retards not only did not believe the polls, you believed something so opposite of what the polls suggested that it has become a fucking punch line.

yeah, a 10 point romney lead, muyloco. you still resting well, smarty? do you kinda realize you were only off by 15 points on that one now?

i'm not about to lend any credence to what you two retards think about the (many) polls on this one, especially after both of you fucked up so monumentally hard just a few months ago.

feel free to join me in reality at any time.

Yeah, I was off on the last election, ALMOST as much as you were off on the 2010 elections. Oops, I think we'll be going with my position as it doesn't spring from a horseshit poll given by a bunch of media outlets complicit with the propaganda arm of the Democrat party.

That's why the law was voted down, chucklehead. It was full of garbage that the American people DON'T support. You want background checks to pass? Put it out there by itself without the backdoors and other horseshit.

i was not off on the 2010 elections, actually.

how funny is it that when reality disagrees with your and doucher, that you guys simply resort to ignoring and denying reality?

go ahead and just TRY to disprove that poll after poll after poll shows comprehensive background checks at 90%. be my guest.

as usual, you sad fucks just can't handle reality, so you pretend it doesn't exist. simply pathetic.

While the number is nowhere near 90% (you can't get 90% of a group of people standing outside to agree on the weather), I will stipulate that a large majority is in favor of background checks, myself among them, if you will stipulate that the large majority ONLY exists when no other gun control measures are attached. Get your Dems to put that legislation forward, with clear language eliminating even the faintest of backdoor possibilities and I'll be right there supporting it with you.

Unfortunately for your cause, they never will. They can't help themselves, because it's not really about passing background checks. It's about appeasing the antigun zealots and they ALWAYS overreach. If it's really 90% and they did that, it would HAVE to pass immediately.

I don't have to show you anything, you're the one claiming 90%. Prove it or zip it. Post the poll, the question, the pollster and all the specifics of every person that was polled, where they are from, political affiliation, etc, then we can talk legitimacy. Until then, it's just Capt. Underpants claiming something he heard somewhere.

And by the way, you were waaaay off on the 2010 elections, show me otherwise.

just grand.

i have already cited the 90% mark. a retarded wombat could google it in two seconds. every member of this board who is not a drooling retard will acknowledge it, even the pro gun crowd like cannabineer.

keep trying to deny reality, it only provides me with more comic relief.

pretty sure that if we go back and look at 2010, we'll see that you were more off than i was. i correctly predicted the kirk win, engle loss, o'donnell loss, and feingold loss. you probably had higher hopes for engle and buck and miller and o'donnell. had you side not been stuffed by complete retards and backed with the unfounded confidence of retards like yourself, you guys might have the senate right now.

but ya don't. and it owes itself to the same type of mental retardation that denies the validity of every single poll that does not confirm your retarded and delusional worldview.

Pretty sure you're full of shit, you claimed the House was yours again. Deer in the headlights, shocked into silence as I remember it after the bloodbath.

I'm not Republican, so WE wouldn't have the Senate. And they don't really need the Senate, they can stop everything in the House. What good would the Senate do with Obama there to veto everything they passed?

You go ahead and tuck that 90% under your pillow and the gun control fairy will leave you some shiny new legislation. Here in REALITY, the legislation went nowhere.

here ya go, chucklehead.

http://www.pollingreport.com/guns.htm

some fucking reality for your deluded ass.

more americans trust obama to handle gun control than the republicans in congress, to boot.

that's a big change. combine that with toomey's surging poll numbers, and the plunging poll numbers of ayotte and others who voted against background checks, and a clear picture emerges: the tide is turning on this one.

not even the NRA's membership supports the NRA's stance:

fucking deluded yapping halfwit.

Pretty sure you're full of shit, you claimed the House was yours again. Deer in the headlights, shocked into silence as I remember it after the bloodbath.

unlike with my numbers, you will be utterly unable to cite any of that. the archives are there, you deluded yapping halfwit. go ahead and show me where i made that claim.

ya fucking retard.

You go ahead and tuck that 90% under your pillow and the gun control fairy will leave you some shiny new legislation. Here in REALITY, the legislation went nowhere.

that one piece of legislation died, but poll numbers went up for those who stood with it and way, way down for those who opposed.

that's not an isolated trend, either.

you really are the source of entertainment that keeps on giving.

First of all can you read polls? Obama is losing support and republicans are gaining on gun control. Sounds like people are starting to see Obama doesn't have their best interest at hand when it comes to gun laws. Second Americans are in no mood for more laws, while background checks have a higher approval rating people who support stricter laws are declining. Assault weapon bans have dropped 24% support in the last 20 years. The libtard media is trying their hardest the spin this positively but the fact is higher gun control had more approval 20 years ago and has seriously lost ground since then. More people are in favor of putting armed security in all schools I found that poll amusing.

despite what nontheist the magical retard may say, obama is actually gaining support and has the majority of americans behind him. americans trust obama over the GOP on guns, and that is becoming a stronger and stronger trend.

don't trust the word of someone who can't even spell what he says installs for a living.

From the libtard media a gift for you Bucky. You're losing and thinking you're winning haha fucking classic.

you are one retarded little idiot, aren't you?

90% or more support universal background checks, yet you say that's the "losing" side.

70% or more support a national registry, yet you say that's the "losing" side.

65% or more support a ban on high capacity mags, yet you say that's the "losing" side.

55% or more support a ban on assault rifles, yet you say that's the losing side.

more americans trust obama over the GOP on gun control, yet you say that's the "losing" side.

a clear majority of americans support obama's proposals, yet you say that's the "losing" side.

ayotte went from net positive to net negative in the polls after her vote against background checks, so to you she must be "winning".

however, toomey gained a huge boost in the polls by proposing background checks, so to you he must be "losing".

does this illustrate what a fucking retard you are?

do you need me to draw you a picture?

apparently me reading compensation has failed me.

where nontheist types "winning", i should "compensate" that as "losing", and vice versa.
