I could care less about society's assumed definitions of words. What I'm talking about is the REAL meaning of the words. Not only is hate not in phobia's def but it's not in homo's def either. So why in the hell would it be part of the words def when you put them together. That's ridiculous! Water isn't a part of AIR or PLANE's definition but this is like me saying that when you put the 2 together to form the word AIRPLANE it now suddenly also means a craft that can "plane water". Why in the hell does water suddenly become part of the words meaning when it was never any part of the 2 root words definition. In the same sense, Y all of the sudden is the word hate included in homophobia's definition when it was never a part of either root words def? You see how this makes no sense now? Another great example is the word "gay". It's def has always been happy till some homo comes along and just makes up a new meaning to suit their own purposes. Just cause you make something up in ur head that doesn't make it fact. I challenge someone to copy and paste any def of the words homo or phobia that has hate as part of it's description. You can't do it cause it doesn't exist. So y do you add it when you put the words together?

Just bc there is no word for it does that mean that you take another word and change its definition. If we all did that we couldn't communicate bc while we would all be speaking the same words, those words would all mean different things to each of us. That would be like me telling my wife she looks pretty and her getting mad bc she decided to change pretty's definition to undesirable. Or how about ordering a pepperoni pizza and having them hand you one covered in pineapple cause they decided to change pepperoni's def to now mean pineapple. If it doesn't make sense to change the def's of those words then y in the world would it make sense to change the def of the word homophobe? Or do you only change the def's of words you don't like? Now who's discrimminating!? I would call that, since you guys seem so keen on just making things up, WORD-DEFINITION-DISCRIMINATION. Since you are discrimminating against certain words def's does that not make you "word definition haters"? That is the same ignorant system that some here have been using to label me a homo-hater when I've never said that I hated anyone.

What are you confused about? You obviously have the definition correct but there have been others who have shown their ignorance by continuing to insist that homophobe means "hate of" and that's why I have continued to argue and show y they are SO wrong. Also, You just quoted a newer def, and by newer I mean CHANGED, bc You can get a Websters Dictionary from the 80's and it specifically says a union between a man and a woman for the def of marriage. Since when is it okay to run around CHANGING def's of words? Y even have dictionaries if it's okay for us to each assume any meaning on any word. The def givin by the dictionary then would be irrelevent cause I could just change their manings however I see fit and that brings us back to my earlier point. If we all did that noone would know what anyone was talkin about. The homo's run around complaining till they start changing things to suit them. If thats the case I'm gonna start complaining to the operators of this site that I feel discriminated against cause noone here wants to talk about growing poison ivy and bc I like growing poison ivy they need to change this entire forum to marajuana and poison ivy cultivation so I don't get my lil feelings hurt and feel discriminated against.
