ok ok yesterday was reconstruction day!

As you are begining to figure out there might be alot going on here. it can be quite confusing to keep up with all this so bear with me. We have a few of these old rooms just sitting around. lets setup a flower room.

The most important step is to clean the entire room.
This was used as a hydroponic room this summer so we need to make some changes.

First and formost.
WE use these trays to help keep the rooms from getting all messy. these trays serve as watering trays but also show you the condition of soil run off.

after a few good tokes we have a clean tray.

You may notice a little more green crap in the tray, we couldnt get it all...

Its now winter time so we need to start the air cooling. we need to mount the reflector

All too often i read My light fell and hurt my plant.... Well i cant have this because this could mean fire. so i mount the light to studs on a wooden support. there is little chance of falling like this!

Ok one tray nearing completion, i need to plant the air cooling and i have to bring cold air in. push it through the lights, then Exit the room to the outside. Since this room has no windows that we can vent out of we will cut up the floor.

I own these places so make sure you ask before YOU destroy your home.

I am using 6 inch air cooled reflectors so i need a collar. the intake one looks like this.

i will drill a pilot hole to start off

Its really easy when you have the tools that you need. We have the cordless toys most men only dream of... this makes construction go with ease.

we dont have to be perfect as this flange sticks to the floor!

Few screws to the floor and we are ready to hunt down some ducting.

When it comes to ducting i really dont care but this silver ducting seems to last the longest. We use tape or tie straps to secure to the collar.

HOWEVER WE ONLY USE METAL clamps on the lights

Now this will be updrafted, and we need to secure the ducting. i used GORILLA brand tape... Super sticky so i will make a tape holder for this Duct.

All i lack now is power for the lights.

These lights will be 1000 Watt Hps
the ballast is LUMATEK 1000 Watt digital.

The bulbs are Hortilux 1000 Super HPS

We cut a small hole in the floor and notch it so the plugs go through. WE will also drain the trays out of here!

So these hydro trays have a sump for a drain. i have added a 1/2 inch drain.
i use tubing to get the extra runoff and flushing water out and gone.

doing this helps ensure low humitidy.

I will be burning 2 trays in here so i will add a T to the line so both trays can drain

That just about raps this side up!
