Man... It's painful chopping so much growth from my plants... Just did my second top and took the lower branches as clones, and they look very naked... One more top and then they can grow in peace...

Awesome thread. Really enjoyed the descriptions and detailed photos. I thought I was "doing it" training first time, first grow, to get the tops same height. Man you set the bar high. Amazing what can be done.

I just mainlined my first plants, 2 Lemon Tree and one OG #18, plus an original OG coming soon! Unfortunately these are all clones far from seed but I want to try sooner than I can wait for my seedlings I popped last week at work; Bubba Dubble Snowman (pre 98 Bubba X Purple Snowcap). If I have my way all of the females will be mainlined and the genetics will be saved via clones turned moms.

Danks a TON for this sweet idea nugs! My chiles and tomatillos have been showing me this for years, thanks for making me see/hear/understand what they were telling me!

While I have only cracked one I am in love with my Purple wreck from reserva pravada. Explosive growth and super fast germ. So far she is a keeper for sure.

Germinated in <18 hours

Hey Nugs. You probably answered this but what is the difference in veg time from using 5 gal to 10 gal for your strains? I'm thinking of doing some 10 gals. I just came up on some 10 gal air pots.

if only using 5's, i will veg for only a week after transplant.....10 gal 15-20 days or so......that is for my indoor plants.....

Hey Nugs - My oldest Malawi Gold 100% Sativa is starting to exhibit fade in a big way. Is there anything special I need to do for her in this phase of her life? She still has a ways to go.

Tips:

Whole Plant (note yellow leaves on the ground):

Thanks,
Mo

Thanks Nugs. Your method has changed my world. The way my master grows its near impossible to get more than 3 equal tops. Now have 8 and 14. My masters never looked like this and I never got more than 1.5 zips off each master. Now that number should double. Im so stoked. Thanks again.

she is going to need a lot of "fast food" like right now...and heavy....i would get some grow and bloom organic liquid and start jucing her up at 1200 ppm.....i would also top dress her with both high N and P guano mixed equal parts of EWC....she has a long way to go, and she needs some serious food to beef up....good luck.

Nugs- Do you raise your lights during your mainline training to get some stretch? I wasn't able to bend my initial two branches down like you do because they had such short internodes. In a few days I'll be topping for 8, but they are super compact, rather tthan spread out like yours. Should be no problem to spread the 8 branches out later, but I'm just thinking about what to do different next time. Always learning....
