• hi im new here and new to growing, its my first grow, im pairing up with a friend who has 3 sucsesful grows already behind him, im "veging" 7 chemdogs at the minute heading into there third week today, and my friend is going to flower them, he doesnt live exactly next door infact not even the next town so hes only up once a week maybe once a fortnight, so im turning to you guys to help me out inn my hours of need!!!!!!! 5 plants are growing well and are ready to be transfared to pots tuesday! 2 however are really really slow and one has yellow on the end of its leaf, im growing under a 90w blue ufo LED and on top of a heat mat, i didnt put up any dollar for the seeds so i dont wana waste them on me friend, i am however going to get a plant or 2 each harvest so itl be worth my while too! does that make sense????? stoned typing! oh yeah i do vigorously ph the water and even make sure its at room temp, more pics to follow if requested my cameras acting up

forgot to ask but whats your lights and what medium are you growing in? i take it its soil/compost from the picture....

It's hard to tell from the pics but just remember not to over water,that is important and watch your ph.

im strict with ph ill not water them as much tonight and see thanks

they look about two or so weeks old, they need to be put into small pots and buried up to the leaves at the bottom, and a small feed would help, anything will do it don`t have to be specific foods, i recommend baby bio its available in most places cost only a few euro and works a treat...

yeah they where germinated today 3 weeks ago, im transfering them to pots on tuesday, i have a bottle of "plant magic+ soil grow", there planted in jiffy pads, sitting in a propagator box (now with lid off) on a heat mat and under a 90w blue ufo LED on 18 hour cycle water ph'd, climatised! & fresh every water

may i suggest you move them closer together and directly under the bulb it will help with stretch and make manageing height better...

and this mate your growing with... has he got a setup at his house? he knows how to growand so on? whats the story there.......sounds a bit dodgy that he rambles about it and doesn`t get to the point..

so decided to make my own tea for the out door grow this year, went looking today and dug out a 140 litre bin, couple of burlap sacks and the hose to fill it, went for a stroll with the kids and not a nettle in sight hahahahaha....

i know... what a complaint hahaha no nettles... going up the river bank tomorrow should find enough there...

There's plenty of them around here,I imagine they are full of nitrogen.

haven`t gone into the flowering one yet, still researching...

takes about four weeks to "brew" so plenty of time yet, that and the seeds only went into towels yesterday so loads of time there aswell..

what you rocking in your garden dude, sorry if you already mentioned, my ould attention span isn`t what it used to be.....

evening all, just settleing down for the evening here, got to have a quick look at the girls before lights out and there all flying now, stretch has all but stopped on the biggest of them and shes pushing out flowers now at a great rate...

thank god...

and the other two are all but catching up, the stunted bubba is finally flowering and is going at full strenght, has gone a week in just a few days, same with the power plant...

there comeing off the big bud soon, and to be honest i`ve not seen any reason to buy it again, well unless these break branch`s from the weight that is...

Did it not do what it said on the tin?

for the price i`m not seeing massive changes in progress at this stage of growth, have been useing it on three girls and two different strains with varying results in all three plants one has stretched to beyond normal height for its age and one has grown "normally" while another is short and bushy and stunted if you would..

same training methods used at the same time throughout the grow.... all feed same feed from the same water etc so i`ve decided its not for me, that is of course a change soon, it does say to stop at week four and as i`ve never used it maybe thats when it does its majic???


but as for now i`m in the camp that it makes not that much difference...

good that he has grows behind him but the lack of shareing.... god i wish i had someone to talk to about growing, thats why i`m here so much, its not the kind of thing you can drop in a conversation with just anyone like..

I was curious cos when I bought my new ballast I had a choice of yo yo hangers or a 40g pack of bud blood so I went with it.
I'll give it a go anyway when the time comes but always good to get opinions from those who used it.

i went with bud candys "big bud" ... still have a week of it left then its out so we`ll see....

glad to be starting to make progress on the flowering front to be honest, think the extra few weeks veg i gave them instead of just starting off 12/12 is killing me now, the next few grows will be 12/12 thats for sure...

fingers crossed i get a summer one in and can cut out growing until even after christmas, that would save a few bob...

My mistake,when I read your post I seen bud blood not big bud.

The extra time vegging can add time to a grow but hopefully it will pay off with some extra weight.
I'd be thinking along the same lines as yourself,If I could get what's in the tent now outdoors I'll start on an indoor but the weather is so damn funny at the moment.
The prices are crazy here for weed so having ones own does save a fortune

fact my friend, and all those bundles of cash go straight to the criminals so growing your own not only saves you cash and is morally better that buying it but you get to control the quality aswell, so no more "addatives" to your smoke... so you save your health aswell, win win in my book....

i`m not going to do it cause someone else says no...

like when a garda is chaseing some one and they shout "stop gardai"... does anyone actually stop for them hahahahahaha...

I agree 100%.
I prefer not to give my money to scumbags either,when one grows their own they are not a part of the problem anymore regardless of what the law says.

hey don`t get me wrong, like the place would fall apart without the gardai and all they do, but enforceing and with an iron fist in some cases the law that a fella can`t grow his own....!!!

surely they can walk in and say its a small set up with three of four plants, no biggie and leave well enough alone, or if you got to big for your boots and have 20 going then do you for it, i`m all for middleground but as it is if i was got ,past would come into it, family and where i`m from etc and i`d be nailed to the wall for growing a bit of smoke...

The law is black and white and rarely discretionary especially with regard to MJ culitivation.
Commercial growing has exploded in the last few years thus drawing so much attention to the small personal growers.
I respect the Guards and what they do also but apart from very few of them they only want the soft collar,be it the guy with 5 plants or the guy whos tax is out a week.

yeah it seems our voice don`t count when it comes to the common sence of it, it will always be down to the law and its blindness to common sence...

hey folks, want to have a go at my first grow! i have a closet approx 6 x 4 foot and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I might need etc, all help greatly appreciated! cheeers
