Yeah most of my leaves were (strong) purple, green or yellow actually, just hoof them all in, if you freeze them fresh they dont break up or anything too, much easier to work with...Id like to stress the smell factor again tho, seriously, it stinks "out of it". Its an amazingly beautiful, however seriously incriminating and pungent aroma to have around the place which takes forever to air out. But its definately worth it...white hash!

did you see the video in serapis post, how to make hash using a silk screen. i thought it looked deadly and no need for the ice and stuff, dont know if it would be as strong though but as you say harrekin i dont want anyone getting the smell if its that bad using the bags. its hard enough trying to keep the smell out now.

Ok lads heres a little pic update. Pic 1 is My BB blue cheese day 40 of veg, Im attempting a ccob on that and my Lemon amnesia which is pic 2 and thats a little behind the cheese, think its about day 33 of veg. And pic 2 and 4 is my barneys auto flower power on day 40 aswell, cant see it being ready in 20 days like they said. Thing is im dying to flick my lights to 12/12, was planning ojn doing it on the 10th. Do you think it would be worth my while waiting till the auto is finsihed or just let it finsh the last week or 2 on 12/12 with the others..

What do yous think guys...all opinions and input welcome...:)

Cheers Lu...but do you think i should flip them to 12/12 on the 10th and leave them for the last 2 weeks on 12/12 or just stick with it and leave the other 2 veg for another 2 weeks, in total that would be about 70 days in veg. That was my original plan but at the rate the Amesia is growing it will be a monster by then, Its about a week and a half behind the cheese but its already nearly as big...both of them will be monster, I know that was my original plan but now im thinking 70 days is way to much...lol..The cheese is so bush that one or two of the lower leaves arent getting the light at all.

If u look at the first pic ( the bb blue cheese) it looks like its gonna have about 10 colas...I cant wait...lol...I keep on pinning stems down trying to keep the canopy as even as possible and everday there is a new shoot, The ccob i have to say is a very interesting way of growing, after pinning the first few down you really get an insight as to hwo they grow. You can nearly decide which shoots you want to open up. I have to say after doing this ( if it works), Its that easy, just a little bit more maintance that i dont think i will grow any other way again. Even to the newest noobe if you try a small bit of LST you will see how it works and by all accounts really notice the differance in yield....well fingers crossed anyway...

Still looking for opinions on the Q above...Thanks lads...:)

well jingle they are going to get very big and when they hit 12/12 they can double to triple in size so do you think you will have the room. the cheese will get very bushy as they do be quite wide leaves. its a great way of growing for someone who is learning because you are so involved with the plants, its not just that you go in and water them. you are doing all the pinning down and actually learning how they grow. if you have the time its a great way of growing. i cant wait either fella to see how it turns out for youas they are looking very good so far and as you say when the colas start shooting up its gonna get very interesting. i look forward to seeing how it turn s out. so its upto you if you want to flip a bit earlier then maybe that would be best due t the size they could get.

Right the lad is getting his funeral rights today! I'm not too sure on the other one yet.. It has preflowers but they're not bunched (yet!) like the one that turned out to be male, and they're a different shape. That said it was bagseed so maybe they're both males and I just can't spot a difference in phenotype?

I wouldn't be too cut up if they're both males, I have a rake of that bagseed stored so I've that to fall back on, and I just got some of the original Lowryder. So I'm going to start two of the lowryder indoors this weekend (I was going to keep them all for outdoors), and start three of the bagseed to put outdoors.
If nothin else I've learned a lot from these two, and I've a definite plan for LST now and a way better idea of what do when it comes to medium, nutrient, watering and all that jazz.

I know techinically it's an absolute fail but I feel like maybe I've just finished my research and I'm now I'm ready to try out my first proper grow!! Sound for all the advice and answers along the way lads, hopefully I'll be able to turn them into something smokable with this next run!

Kubla from what i know if youve gotten it from a baggie there more cvhance of it being female but i am no expert, but if they are visually different id take that as a good sign.,

Kubla just think of it as a dry run for your proper grow. you would want to see my sorry excuse for my first grow...lol....keep it up though youve got the right attitude. And if you are planning on LSTing then i would recomend trying what i am doing the ccob method, you really get in to it. Look at my pics above, they are already on day 41 opf veg now and barley over the top of the pot...:)

If its possible id switch the lights to 12/12 a.s.a.p. as those plants will stretch some what but also pull the autos out when the light goes out and place in the sun light for the extra hours.. and then put them back in to your grow room when the light comes back on..

Alright Jay, id love to do that but unfortunately with the kids and what not moving the plant would be the last thing on my mind to do first thing in the morning before work. Would it matter much if i missed a couple of days putting it outside...and do you think our weather would be all right to have it outside at the moment, I know its nice now but theres a couple of rain days on the way.

I got my AK48 seeds yesterday, will be planting them when I finish chopping these and get some scrilla for some upgrades. Smoked about a half a gram of water cured then dried Snow White from my current grow...I am baked! Flavour was minimal and smell when smoking was non-existant, both good and bad in certain situations, but high is pretty good! Anyways enough rambling, time to do some chopping.
