Try and use as much heat as you can from the bulb..
Describe your grow to us as many things can help keep plants warm but it also depends on many factors...

Grow tents will lose heat much quicker than hand built grow rooms.
Im doing an Aerogarden grow, 3 pods out of 7 are planted. Week and a half gone its looking very good. However the heat is my only problem the room is very cold as my houses heating doesnt go into it. Its kind of a garage conversion. Whilst the heater is turned on the growth is significantly better!

Tips would be great. Its my first grow btw.

Physique i was having the same problem with heat loss. But as Jay said, make an enclosure for them. The box im growing in, i wrapped it up tighter than a ducks arse and added another 125 watt cfl and now the plant is growing again:-P

Ha yea? Had some shit there the other week that was nearly to stoney! Two joints and you want to go to bed fot the day. If it wasnt for the extortionate prices and lack of supply id be smoking it the whole time.

A mate brought a few bags of dam back there not so long ago, white widow, a.k and some bubble gum. Nearly jizzed my pants when he showed me lol
A friend of mine also returned with almost identical strains of Dam stuff recently, seems to be the done thing nowadays.

If you get one of those see through plastic greenhouses from Woodies you can throw away the plastic covering and use the bars to build a HUGE custom tent, or several small ones. Buy some mylar and a load of electrical tape and you have a grow tent! :) I updated my thread, running out of floorspace in my tent, gonna need to flip them soon!

SAM_0568.jpgSAM_0570.jpgSAM_0569.jpg Here's the big girl at the moment, I dare say she's goin to be another 3/4 weeks but I don't know I cant remember exactly when they were planted I'm off a week because of the germination stage, have to just look at when their done.

SAM_0572.jpgSAM_0571.jpg This is the last one to have popped through, she's about 2/3 weeks old now.

SAM_0574.jpgSAM_0575.jpgSAM_0573.jpgSAM_0576.jpg This is how the oldest one is gettin on, as you can see she's smaller with less budd sites but is far further along in the flowering process, you can see the leaf damage aswell in these pics...almost back to normal just crusty around the edges.

Sound lads, gonna have to scrap some supplies together and make one the weekend.
Best use sheets of wood (PLY, MDF or Chip board) as this will insulate your room better than tent material..

Dont make it too big as it wont heat up as well, you can purchase Mylar etc but I found by painting it with white wall paint done the job almost as good and ALOT cheaper.

Dont forget about the air exchange, You maybe able to leave a gap towards the bottom of the room for air to pass freely rather than using a fan that will blow all your warm air out of the room.

Try and pick up a cheaper thermometer, think the €2 shop sells them..

Best of luck with it...

Oh BTW guys, the weather is to turn nasty again towards the end of next week with sub zero temps again..

Looking well Mick, what Autos are they again..?
What you using in your pots..?

If i were you, I would cut the brown burnt bits off, as its surves no purpose and I actually think it takes energy from the plant.
I'd cut the leaf back, just as if you were cloning, by doing this the leaf wont suffer too much and as well as they it will still produce energy for the plant...
It'll also make it look better.. :-)

Just my 2 cents..

By the looks of it your newest plant seems a bit further along than mine... be nice to see them grow...

Happy daze

Hey lads, was in cork today looking for biobizz all mix. Both shops I knew of were closed down. The one on Washington St and the one by tesco. Is there somewhere I missed? Also, has anyone bought soil from a Irish website? If so which one?

Thanks lads, Irishmc their ak47 autos from lowlife...really good growers I must say. Jay thanks for the advice I was thinkin about trimmin them down but it hasn't been long since they recovered so I want to give them a break before their mutilated again, I'm usin a mix of coconut husks and organic compost with total bloom nutrients, pretty good soil mixture anyway so I'm gonna stick with it, might change the nutrients though I don't think their the best, the small plant I'm not lyin since I took the pics and writin this comment she's grown double in height, only around a week too haha she's bigger than the oldest one now.

Managed to find Co2 tablets in a shop for £13 so I'm gonna buy them in the next week or so and get the girls a breath of good clean plant air.

plants are looking well mick, i was using shite nutes and it really shows when you switch to something decent, the shite from b and q just doesnt compare to the bio bizz grow/bloom. my plants are done now so i went shopping and got some paradise seeds white berry, i also got a magus gentics female mix pack which has warlock-exile-double dutch-motivation and biddy early. so all these along with my skunk 11 is going to keep me really busy. i am going to have to get another light so what do you think, should i add another led or should i just stick in a 250w hps with electronic ballast?
i am going to take some pics of the two cheese and put them up now. just to let you guys know you can get the mosaic magus genetics mix for 30 quid , 5 seeds which i thought was great value. seeds look nice aswell, you can tell the difference from some ive seen.

Looks like the led done the job then luc, your babes look sweet :) I reckon if you can afford to go for a HPS then go for it, any other led's would be a good addition but it would probably be better if you used the HPS, use the LED for veg and then use the HPS for flowering to tighten up the budd formation.

Oh for anyone interested aswell I can't ever see or know the person but through someone else I learned that there is a fella in my town growing pot for hemp oil, he's already given it to cancer patients and apparently they swear by it.
