Any one have any input as to when i should drop the lights down to 18/6 on my seedlinds. been on 24/0 since friday

I usually just go 18/6 from seeds, saves power and saves me having to switch the timer around ;P

i was just worried about the cold on the off hours of the light. ive no heater in the attic and would imagine its getting pretty cold up there so just wanted them to get a lil bit established first

rory i see you mentioned about t5 fluoresents what type/colour do you use and how long from seed do you keep them under fluoresents for before switching to mh light

Dont have a MH Light Have them under T5 (6,600 Lumens) for 24 hrs (I think i'll bring it down to 18/6 next week) plan to veg till i get around 4 clones of each plan, then sog it up

5 days of the smoke i dont know will i make it to harvest without a smoke

yeah im think the same temps outside the dome is 18 (28 inside)

is that ok

not sure rory but bit the bullit and dropped it down to 18/6 tonight and lowered the light to 24" and gave them a ltr each.

what have you got your setup in? I done an attic grow and had a makeshift tent made from reflective sheeting and it was shite, waaaay too cold... Got a heater for the last couple weeks but it was too little too late. Now ive got a box built out of insulation, 250w HPS, and fan running on the same timer as the light so cold air isnt being blown in when there is no light for heat. Best of luck with the grow! Keep us updated! Id probably leave the light on 24/0 just for another day or two and then switch to the 18/6 you're planning. I run 20/4.

can anyone recommend a good how to vid on scrogging. i think thats the road i am gonna take with these 2.

i have it in a tent. thats why i was planning the long veg so that hopefully the oitside temps will be better when i flick to 12/12, and hence thats why i am thinking of doing a scrog because id say they will be pretty big after 8 weeks so the scrog should help.

The timer running with the lights is a bad call, I used to do that and the humidity spikes during the dark cycle...I lost like 2-3 ounces to bud mold for that very reason before.

keep it easy with the feeding really you should wait 14 days after sprouting before you give them a feed

This is also true, I remember looking into my tent at times and humidity would be 90%+.

yeah they are about an inch x inch. big enough do u think

Inch holes are on the small side but will still do if that's all that's at hand, With that screen I'd actually let the plant grow through the screen then tie it down to the screen as you go along...


You will learn plenty from your first scrog..

Depends on the strain... I normally put it at about 1 ft above the pot, enough room to clean up and to thin the canopy..

ye was thinking about a foot. so ur saying i should led all the individual branches grow through then i loosely tie them down ( gonna use cable ties). would i train them to grow to the outer edges of the scrog.
