Cork has www.getupandgrow.ie they do all the aforementioned items I believe

its a soil grow harrekin and im using bio grow, but still getting cal mag issues, only on the plants i didnt add lime to. im looking into it now and theres something i may have just stumbled upon and its the proper ph 6.5. it states that it neutralizes heavy metals and chlorine, i wonder if it could be doing anything to the calcium and mag in the water?
im gonna get some ph down, i would just add the tap water but its ph where i am is 7.8! so ill have to get that down, i know the grows with the lime in will be ok but the other 4 plants are just gonna have to get something added.
so do grow shops in dublin sell cal mag? checked on a couple of sites and none listed.

also maybe its a bad thing removing all the chlorine from the water, as plants do need some chlorine dont they?
i think chlorine is always a no no
look at regular tomato plant liquid food, there suppose to be high in calmag

Epsom salts at 1tsp/gal is good for mag issues. It's cheap. Red wine vinegar will pull ur ph down. Idk the rate but it's ez to find on RIU . Its a small amount like 3ml/gal of water. My soil grow always comes in at 6.8 and I'm into 7 wks on 12/12. Pix in sig

guys my old avatar was a peanut chunk i found in a bag of manhattan peanuts, did nt eat it cos it looked like a small nutty shite, but i watched the old leprechaun the other nite and had to get him up here.
may or june in ireland, defo first week of september, dont know why but its the only week we get sun when the kiddies go back to school!, seriously come over as late as you can. but any time you come over im sure youll have a great time. also no weed is not legal, most garda are not too bad about a bit though. well the ones ive bumped into anyway.
dannyboy, the thing with the mag issues is it takes a good few days before you see the problem so do you feed that mag through the whole grow or just when the need arises.
nearly forgot to tell yas, went upto the home store in tallaght today and got some fukin deadly curing jars, 2 litre glass with the lids the lock down. only 4.50 each and well worth it in my opinion. ill fill them with the goods and put a pick up.

dont believe it i was fucking up my own plants, the stuff i was using was burning the chlorine and other minerals out of the plant, chlorine def is very similar to mag/cal def which is why i was looking for cal mag. heres what i found on the faults page that we all see from time to time.
Chloride is involved in the evolution of oxygen in the photosynthesis process and is essential for cell division in roots and leaves. Chlorine raises the cell osmotic pressure and affects stomata regulation and increases the hydration of plant tissue. Levels less than 140 ppm are safe for most plants. Chloride sensitive plants may experience tip or marginal leaf burn at concentrations above 20 ppm.
Wilted chlorotic leaves become bronze in color. Roots become stunted and thickened near tips. Plants with chlorine deficiencies will be pale and suffer wilting.
Burning of leaf tip or margins. Bronzing, yellowing and leaf splitting. Reduced leaf size and lower growth rate.
so it looks like if i use either the vinegar or ph down i should be ok in the future.

Why not just get soil with a better buffer in it? All-Mix has a pH buffer, and Iv never pH'd Grow or Bloom, pH correction is mainly for hydro and some places claim it is unnecessary in soil altogether. Iv decided to buy Hesi nutes next time anyways, they have some kinda pH perfect formula in it as standard (sure why not go for it anyways!), they're ment to be amazingly underrated/underused nutes and they only use organic nitrogen in it so burning your plants becomes alot more difficult...plus they're the same price as Biobizz too.

ill have a look for them in the shop today, im heading up to get some new pots but i think ill give the hesi a try on my next grow, 1 week away. i would love not to keep phing the water but i dont know if its a bit strong where i am, its ranging from 7.6-7.8. even when i am adding it at 6.5 the soil ph can fluctuate upto to 7 in areas. ill give the next grow a try with a bit of lime and the all mix, then try and see where the ph ends up. are you not phing your water harrekin, are you using tap water?
ill pick the nutes up today hpoing they have it.

I have em on a feeding schedule with cal/mag as part of their regimen and the Epsom salts I only use in veg state, diluted in water.
Good info u posted on chlorine and chloride
I'm sue there's chlorine in my tap water but it isn't harming my plants none.
