Growing in a box room in a terrace house is worrying. Curtains always pulled and the windows open a crack. I remember it well pulling air from u Der the curtain and exhausting in to the house for heat and no where redirect it

Fuck it we do what works

nah man mines a back room and windows never opened i just bring in air from a vent. the window is covered with white mylar so it just looks like a blind from outside. nobody would suspect a thing lol

where are you guys venting your hot air? are yous using air cooled hoods or cooltubes?

im running a 400 watt and 600 watt at the same time and the 400 tent runs at about 26/27 and my 600 tent runs about 24/25 because it has the L1 Rvk and the 400 tent has the A1 Rvk. both fans are 6 inch and both are on a Variac speed controller dialled down to 1st setting

Maybe try bringing in cool air from outside

And the duct is going out a wall vent and the intake duct is going to an open window, it’s a 4x8 tent with one 630 cmh light and I can’t get the temperature below 30 degrees even with the fan on full power... anybody got any idea what’s wrong?? Stressed out lol

ah its an open hood. controlling temps with an open hood will be hard. unless you can use air con id get an air cooled hood for it

I had my air cooled lights vented into the house when I started, couldn’t get the tent below 29C. Then I ran it out the chimney and room dropped to 26C. So even with air cooled hoods you need that heat leaving the house completely.

The 630 CMH are suppose to run hotter than a 600 HPS from what iv seen so that’s another factor. Unless your willing to run a portable air con unit you just have to manage your best until it gets a bit cooler. You could make a DIY air cooler with a small fan and a box of ice but that could get expensive after a while

How long is the ducting?

Hopefully with the falling temps outside things will improve for you Super180. I changed my fan fed inlet to a window 2.5m away and that shortened the ducting considerably. It also now only has two 90 degree turns. All this has my temp inside the tent about five to six degrees above the room ambient. I think perhaps having my exhaust fan outside the tent helps with heat too.

Myself I've noticed its cooler in the tent this evening. Because of this I've lowered the bat wing open reflector to within 55cm of the plant tops which (i believe) is nearing the sweet spot for a 600hps.
Despite or because of all my shiting about some of my plants are still showing signs of problems lol so don't confuse me with anyone here giving good advice. In saying that they're all still growin and the problems seem to be abating

I picked my worst two (the oldest), flushed one and fed the other as a test. The fed one did better than the flushee. Just watered them both there and included feed. This was three days after my test and they presented as needing watering as the pots were light and the first two inch of soil was crusty and dry.

My feed consisted of full dose (1m in a litre) of plagrons pure zym https://www.plagron.com/en-GB/product/pure-zym---Accelerates-nutrient-absorption-and-reduces-the-risk-of-diseases.html

This was given to all plants older than 3 wks since sprouting. As ye can probably guess theres a slight touch of desperation in this but i did get my feeding plan above from a fella whos a very experienced grower. Hes fairly certain my plants have exhausted the nutrients in the soil by now and need feeding. Time will tell.

Incase any do die I've sprouted a dinafem auto critical +2.0 and just bought a pack of three gardens of green auto cookie monster. If the specs on the latter are to believed its a fuggin monster in both yeild and strength, not really my bag but mates will love it if i'm successful with it.

Last question. Recently came across some very nice stuff, v relaxing without nagging head buzz. Broke a bud in half and found what looks like a healthy seed! Am i right that this is from a hermaphrodite plant? Would ye bother trying to grow it as i read its not uncommon for a herm to have herm seeds? I know it could be a male but is therr also any way to tell early on if its an auto or photo?

Algea by plagron is organic, it is hard to overfeed with that one.
Autos cant compare to a fem. Too much false hype.
Seed highly likely a hermie.

First time taking cuttings, so proud of this one...took 4 cuttings, 2 from a Notorious OG, 2 from a Sunset Sherbet. 75% success rate, but not sure what cutting is from what plant but im not racist, ill treat them all the same
They took almost a month in the polytunnel to get this far, used aloe vera plant as rooting gel, happy with the results considering I thought I lost them all.
Have them under a 300w CFL in a 60x60 tent now, old flowering tent becomes new veg tent.
