I'll have to get dehumidifier as well,I've nothing in the tent but the hygrometer says it's 70% RH in there.Have you a link to the one you bought?
Just noticed also that there are 4-5 slits about 2 inches long down one side of the tent and I know it's from the cat who I have caught asleep on top of it a couple of times.

That's a right pain with the plane buzzing about all the time.

Just borrowed one off a friend.... put it on full blast for the last 3 days and pulled 24 litres of water out of the room...... and inside the boxes is still sitting at 50% so looking at buying one my self... i saw a couple of nice digital ones on amazon for 200 euros...

Talking of humidity, what exactly is the best reading we should be looking for ?, I got one of those digitital Max/Min threremometers and its also a humidity meter, last night when pots were nearly dry humidity was 35% in the closet, Tonight after watering its 70% , is this normal or ddddo I worry, couple of pics day 16 flower Nirvana Northern Lights as you recall.

Looking good there Bilbo.

I have two of those thermo/hygrometers, one mechanical and one digital and although they are roughly the same measuring temps the difference in humidity readings is quite a bit so I'm not sure how accurate the cheaper ones are like mine.
If you have been misting the plants I would say the humidity is gonna rise considerably.

They are dear enough even for the most basic ones, I've seen loads on adverts.ie cheap but you'd have to be lucky to find one in the area.

Cost a bit to run though I'm afraid..Shame you can't get more air in and out if your grow..
You're right Jay the majority of them draw a lot of watts.

i`m not one for the meters and ph pens, its all just a mixture of luck, guess work and a touch of "ah fuck it`ll do"...

could do with investing in some gear for the grow room but whats there is working so far and theres improvements popping up all the time as its evolveing into the perfect spot, that said if it gets anywhere nesr last years levels then i`ll have no choice but to get a de humidifier in...

You're right ae about the high humidity, a dehumidifier would be working hard to bring it down a few points.

I have all the meters and I could have gone on forever spending money, as it stands I probably have a grand or more spent since Christmas and so far nothing to show for it.
A faulty ph meter caused me all sorts of problems and think if someone is using the same nutes every grow eventually they can do without the meters

I was thinking the same but I'll see if this flush has any effect.
Two flushes in a few weeks has probably compacted the soil and the roots could be low on oxygen.
Any news bud..?

What did you pot them in to, I had to use garden centre soil as times are hard and unable off canna stuff.. Would like yo try coco..

If you can increase your air exchange within your room then your humidity will come down .. More air in and more air out. And keep any other watering cans out of your room too..

Nice ladies..!
humidty for veg 50-70%
humidty for flower 55-30%

there abouts, so I've red in a couple of books that I have.. These readings are probably in general so as not to worry about fluctuations ..

All the best..

@Jay.
I haven't up to them since, first thing I'll be paying them a visit.
I cracked 2 Barney's Farm LSD and will do the same with 2 white widows when they come this week.
I'll do my first hempys and think about scrog as well.

I had a good 6 inch fan and a 9 inch computer fan in the tent when I started the ones that are now outside and the humidity was high, it was around 75-80% at lights on and drop to 55-60% half way through the cycle, still far from ideal for flowering, I then filled some tubs with rock salt and after a week it had sucked a lot of moisture out of the air, I will have to get a dehumidifier though eventually.

9 inch computer fan..??

the plants will transpire less once they go fully in to flower so the RH will drop a bit..
i had similar probs but outside my grow where condensation was soaking everything, thankfully I've sorted that problem now..

It's a 9 inch fan that came out if a PC, it's not the strongest but it blows all the same and turn it around and inline it and now is an extractor until I need to take out the RVK 6 inch, it works surpisingly well and sucks out a nice amount of air
We're always gonna have high humidity here, just have to learn to deal with it.
