I run this room at about 25-30%, (300watts) it's been so hot and no way i am running an AC on top of all the power I have been using. The SB X MED doesnt seem to mind, massive frosty buds, I can't believe I tossed the one clone I had lol. She takes a little long to finish anyway.

Thanks buddy! I just finished chopping cheese#1 (Kaliman Seeds), this pheno was not as heavy yielder as the other one that I harvested a few weeks ago (also successfully revegged!!) but still loaded with medium size hard nugs, took me a while to chop her.

I highly recommend this strain, at first I didnt really liked the look of the buds and the fact that she needs support coze she can be a little wimpy. But the resin heads are so beautiful and perfect on the few seeds I have grown (3 females of them 6 seeds so far and 2 of them females are still in the veg cabinet through cloning or revegging) and the smell I got from all of them is just to die for coffee/cheese.

I am taking a break from smoking and she is a real torture!!!

I had a few nugs with seeds (should all be from male Revolution) so hopefully I get some good strong tasty meds from those seeds. (and hopefully rich in CBD)

I will try to snap a shot of cbd skunkhaze pretty soon, never seen such big buds, one of them is getting pretty close to a 2L cola bottle lol (barely exaggerating) . The problem is, this room is getting fresh air from outside right now and it can get humid at times, I am almost certain I will get mold if I dont take her out.

The problem is, she is in my massive container which doesnt fit through the door, and the diesel tonic is a LONG WAY from being ready and it is right in the middle of the massive pot. I am not sure I will continue growing in massive containers, the production is unreal, but it's not so convenient. If I do, it will have to be in beds that fit through the door but with my setup, I think I will go back to 7 gallons and re-using and or composting my soil.

I might try to squeeze the container out of the room tonight I put the whole thing in the tent... but I like to use my tent to finish plants that are shooting pollen and what not.

note to myself. I thoroughly cleaned room2 tonight. I will clean room1 tomorrow or in the next few days and everything will be good for a while.

I will be back with pics tomorrow, I would like to mention that I have been using straight water for a long time and still getting great results. I have been so busy, no blackstrap molasses at all, neither compost teas.

I saw the slightest bit of what looked like powdery mildew on a plant the other night, so tonight I sprayed everything (all my plants are just starting to bud) with lemon water. I have also used some beneficials for thrips. Tomorrow I will get some more ladybugs so room2 is set for a great round. Other than the heat, everything should be going pretty smoothly.

The light setup for this round, not sure i can keep the af600 at 80% ... depends on the weather, the room is running at night time now so i might be good.


It will be interesting to see how this SB X CHEMO cut does because she is pretty small at this point.


SB X MED not quite ready but i needed to make room for next round and that's that ... trichs are cloudy anyhow.

in room1, look how fat my revegged Dnatural Grinspoon, aka SpaceGrin (cant decide between the 2 names ... anyone?) has gotten, I accidentally broke one of the top, it was getting out of control anyway. Now let's just hope she finishes quick again and I got myself a unique Dr.Grinspoonish plant that takes half the flowering time than the original Dr.G, or less, keeping the exact same bud structure and exact same smell OH YEAH LETS HOPE FOR NO NANNERS TOO !! and she will be in my collection forever.


Today I am putting in dirt a few BlueSage (Jordan) and I have a few cbd REV X CHEESE #1 that have been in water for a couple days not cracking yet ... I sure hope those seeds are viable coze the any plants in this cross will have outstanding smell!!

Like your LED sidelighting I think it's the unfortunate destiny of my LEDs to become side lighting for my HPS

because u never had good LEDs to start with my blackstar SUCKS!! haha same model as urs

I have been using it to finish my plants but the problem is my plants are NOT finishing under the blackstar ... they stop growing buds and they stop maturing lol.

I would not even use them as side lighting with HPS ... what a waste of power hehe. Too bad u went back to HPS, your TGA grow will become just like any other TGA grow !!

It sucks coze u have many of them! u spent a lot of money and have not been using them nearly long enough to get ur money back ... GARBAGE!!

I gotta say, if my af600s give me 7+ years like they are supposed to, I WILL NEVER EVER BUY HPS again! I love not having to worry about changing my bulbs ... the only reason why Id have to go to the hydro store beside carbon filter.

But yeah, IMO LED's require side lighting unless you grow smaller plants.

but side lighting still dont penetrate through thick canopy. I am not convinced yet, I am taking a break from 12/12 from seed, I will grow slightly bigger plants in the near future so it will be interesting to see how my lights perform. I believe if the plants are big and healthy with lots of light up above, the lower nugs should be pretty decent even on big plants. Lately, I have been impressed with the lack of popcorn buds on my plants. the lower parts of my plants get LOADED with hard nugs if I dont clean them early during flowering.

I grew some 6 footers with just the AF-240, and the colas were amazing but there was quite a bit of snicklefritz lower on the plant. If you flipped them to flower @ 1.5-2 feet tall, I bet you'd get the best results. That's my hunch! Holly is about 2.5 feet now, done her stretch and all her buds are UBER dense. Went away on vacation for a couple days, and a buddy of my was tending to them - and I was really, really surprised when I got home! She's got some gigantic ROCK hard buds.

Hardest buds I've grown, hands down.

I still don't have any problems with the blackstars. I've just outgrown them. Like I've said before, your experience with blackstars is not mine. I grew some great plants with'em, better than should've ever been expected from them. But in the end a 240w light with 135w draw isn't going to equal a 600w much less a 1K. I don't share your opinion that they won't be useful -- I'll still be using them for sidelighting, vegging and normal added lighting as needed. I'm just not investing more in LEDs because it's not worth the cost. How much would it cost you to equal production from 2.5K and 48ft2 of grow space? I have other things I need the money for unfortunately. I do hope to get back to adding more LEDs at some point -- hopefully higher end than blackstars, but not sure I foresee that unless they drop in prices some from where they're at now.

And seriously not long enough to get my money back? I did that on the first run. It would be a lot harder to have paid myself back on most other company's LEDs. My blackstars cost < $300 each. I usually get more than that per oz, so you do the math... shit the largest yield I've ever gotten off of any 3 plants are still my first run on these LEDs (granted I haven't got my HPS harvest in yet ) still 4oz, 3.6z and 3.3z are nothing to sneeze at. I still say they are not bad little lights for the price you get them for sucks that you didn't get very good results with'em but that doesn't mean your results are the same as everyone else's.

I've never used side lighting for mine sure didn't need any growing plants 3-4z, so.... it depends on your definition of smaller plants though mine are usually about 1.5' tall tied down like crazy going into flower and usually finish around 2.5-3'. It helps if you lollipop'em and get rid of a lot of those lower budsites.

lol hyroot. I am still doing 12/12 fs, only I won't fill my room with them. Actually, until I have problems with revegging, that's how I will find my keepers. However, I am tired of having many plants hermiing, or not producing... so I am now doing what most are doing, I keep the keepers. The keepers for now are SpaceGrin, Cheese#1, SB X CHEMO, and most likely one of my Respect, really wonderful plants so far. I am wanting to do another run of SB X HAOMA, coze definitely some keepers in this line, not many seeds left though.

Being that I make seeds, there will always be some 12/12 from seed in my grow room as it is the quickest way to see what I got. BUT I NEED CONSISTANCY.

@reefbong, basically all I was trying to say is that compare to my other leds, my blackstar sucks, I liked it when I first got it, grew some nice buds on occasion but the point I am trying to make with u is not so much that the blackstar sucks but how much better my other lights are and since u went back to hps, I would say u are not entirely satisfied with them either

That said, regardless of how good the LEDs are, when u compare both LEDs and HPS, there will always be some positive and negative. Like I said in ur thread I feel as though people are giving up on LEDs and it's too bad that we don't see bigger grows with them. Perhaps 10 years down the road when I am still running my af600s people will change their mind again
