Welcome back once again. It’s a great day here at the Revolution. We just completed our weigh in of the Blueberry Hogsbreath harvest. It’s been about a week of drying, and they have just hit the jars for a nice long cure. Let me tell you, things are looking and smelling really good. Here are the final stats!

 • Clones were vegged under a 216w T5 array (4x4) for 21 Days running a 24/0 Photoperiod.
 • Plants were bloomed for 75 Days total under a 600w HPS bulb running a 12/12 photoperiod.
 • Plants were bloomed out at 12” tall and finished at 30” (250% stretch factor)
 • Atmospheric conditions were kept within the optimal range, 65-80F averaging 74 degrees a majority of the time. Daily fluctuations +/- 10 degrees.
 • Aside from a couple very dry days, relative humidity was maintained 40-60% with an average of 48%.
 • Flowers were dried 8 days @ 68-78F and 52-59% RH
 • CO2 enrichment was not used.
 • Average Yield per Plant: 124g or 4.42 oz
 • Total Yield per 600w HPS: 744g or 1.66#.... 1.24 g/Watt
 • Estimated Power Consumption:
648.8 KWH in Lighting x 1.2 = 778.5 KWH

 • Efficiency: 0.9556 g/KWH

These flowers have the most incredible smell already! At this point most strains have that familiar hay/fresh grass/nothing smell, they need curing to bring out the funk. Well, this stuff already smells DANK. My favorite quality of the Blueberry Hogs, a pungent, candy like sweetness, slightly skunky with a touch of eucalyptus or menthol hiding in the background… Delicious. Just a few weeks in the jar and we will have something to really sting your nostrils.:weed:

Checking in with our seedlings, we are pleased to report 11 of our 14 seeds have popped and are growing strong. Germination was conducted in Rapid Rooter plugs, 74-80F and 100% humidity under a single 2’ T5 bulb. Two duds failed to germ and we lost the Deadhead to damping off. Perhaps we will have to order some clones sometime in the near future. No worries.

This left us with the AK47, SAGE, White Widow, Osiris (AK47 x White Widow), and Tutankhamen (AK47 selection.) We transplanted them into 1 gallon pots filled with Roots Organic Greenfields soil and inoculated them with Botanicare ZHO beneficial bacteria. This contains Trichoderma, a good biological control against pathogenic disease.

A short study on inoculating with Trichoderma can be found here:

You asked for bud shots, you got 'em! :bigjoint:

Starting with our lovely Blueberry Hawgsbreath, here we have a sticky orange fireball of funky flavor. A little on the hairy side, what she lacks in appearance she makes up for ten fold in taste.....MMMMMmmmm.

If that doesn't catch your attention yet, take a few minutes to feast your eyes on the final harvest of our Green Domina, sumo phenotype. A stout little plant with nearly zero stretch, this little honey still put up some seriously large colas. The buds came out a little bit leafy and airy but quite resinous nonetheless.

She just finished drying today and boy are we excited to enjoy a sample or two..... or three!
;-)

Despite the nice trichome production, we have decided not to keep this particular pheno. She took far too long to finish and has an inferior smell when compared to her sister plant. While she did produce some top shelf medicine, it just wasn't exactly what we are looking for right now.

Last, but certainly not least is our Green Domina keeper. This is truly some good headstash herb. Sticky as sap, the buds will cause your fingers to stick together like mad. Its scent is sour, floral, fresh and sweet. Light and complex, this seems to lean towards the Green Crack lineage. Yields were average but the quality is beyond compare. If it smokes half as good as it looks, this variety will definitely be around our gardens for awhile. :bigjoint:

Actually, you are dead on. She is still a pup so most people think she's a really stocky boxer. "Kaya" was the runt of the litter but she's gonna get to be a good size. Great temperament, just stubborn as can be. Named her after a classic Marley jam. Spliff anyone??? :eyesmoke:

Well, sorry for the extended absence folks! Its been a really busy week over at the Green Revolution. The word of the day is, UPGRADES.

Earlier this week we were perusing our local Craigslist and struck gold. After a 30 minute drive and a quick exchange, we have scored big...

 • 6 more complete lights (2, 1000w switchable; 1, 4x8 T5; 2, 2x4 T5; and 1, 150w HPS)
 • 4 more fans (2, Vortex 6"; 2 6" Boosters)
 • 2 more tents (5x5, 7x7)
 • 2 55g Reservoirs
 • A 5x5 flood tray
 • Numerous water and air pumps
 • A large stack of 5g pots

Final price tag....... $300. :hump:

As a consequence for our good fortune, we have spent the last few days scrubbing without abandon, inspecting and sterilizing our new hardware. The smell of bleach is still lingering in my nostrils but the dirty work is finally done. All our gear is fully functional and ready for operation. Not to mention the fancy new CO2 controller we just ordered and should arrive any day now. ;-)

We decided to try one of the newer ones to appear on the market, the Thrive controller:

We almost purchased the Sentinel CPPM-1 controller, but really liked the web access and notification features offered by the Thrive. It wont run your dehumidifier for you or monitor Relative Humidity, but we already have that well covered. I personally would rather have my data graphed, logged and recorded, not to mention accessible anywhere. We will see how well the unit works upon its arrival and definitely post a review in the future. If you want more info, check out their website.
