The Great Outdoors Grow of 2OO8 - Gilfman's First Time

it was a bad day in my patch ... take a look .... first thing was i saw two deer leaving my patch when i came up there (LOTS OF PISS AND HAIR DOESNT WORK???!!!) and i was like you mutha fuckas better not have touched my plants .. but they did .. its was #4 (as you can see) only 2 bottom leaves which werent looking very good to start with ..
number ten was detached from it's stem completely so i just called it dead and didnt try to save it any longer .. so i have a pic of my graveyard..

number 6 is looking healthier but still a seedling ..

storm about killed 2 of my plants with debris falling on them .. and almost buried one .. fortunately i was there to save them .. but no matter what i do nature always puts it back in lst ..

i resprayed all my plants with a misting of insecticide getting rid of bugs and hopefully the deer wont eat the pesticide

plants are starting new leaves at the base of the others and FIM'ing isn't worth it ...

well and on the way back i found this weird skinless "groundhog???" idk what it is really just fucked up... really fucked up take a look

but i can see that your FIM is working well.

That sucks dude. But thats why we plant lots right? strength in numbers. I think that is a mole or vole in the pic not sure but I don't think they grow hair/fur.

no its like a groundhog with its fur ripped off... cause it was about as big as the boot... no mole gets that big .. i shouldve gave some thing to compare the size ... but u think #4 will make it?

just keep it in the ground.

ive had slugs eat my plant slike that and it just topped them after a while it still should live.

yeah i was planning on it .. but #10 was lost .. and #4 is getting its secondary leaves so i hope those come out nice .. this rain needs to LEAVE ME ALONE! it hasnt been sunny in like 4 days .. and rained for all that time basically .. wish it would just be sunny for my plants ..

sorry to see what happend gilfman... but dont worry your losses are not to bad considering you had 2 deer leaving and still most if not all of your plants still in the ground...

yeah .. i was considering NOT deer hunting this year but my mind has now changed ... yeah and #4 was weird hopefully it'll recover though AND it was one of my comp plants.. just hope it turns male so i can switch it hehe ..

i do i do ... but i am gonna buy commercial deer repellent tomorrow ... or if anyone can give me a guaranteed one .. also some pest repellent .. cause im using liquid seven now and idk how safe that is..

it depends on what kinds of bugs there are.... yeah deer suck, but if you put cages around them they will be left alone (and its the only guaranteed way, commercial products sometimes for some unknown reason don't work). Make sure the cage is AT LEAST two feet from the tips of where your branches will extend out the longest, and that they are anchored down at least one foot into the ground all the way around (helps keep moles out too). Praying mantises ladybugs etc. When in nature, use natures ways my friend. Peace and luck

well im not putting cages around my bigger plants .. but i did how ever re-cage all my others that can still fit in the cage in one since i took out of LST .. not worried about moles .. no signs of them .. but still gonna get the commercial shit to see if it works ,, and getting my trial cam batteried up tomorrow
