Yes sir.
All I need is good genetics now I think.
I wana find a few good strains to cross with my midgrade.
I want to start at least one strain of my own.

I feel like I can make plants that are harder to grow easier to grow by crossing the genetics.

I am not sure if it is just that I am getting more confident but, this damn midgrade is almost fool proof from clones.

I think I need to clarify.

Earlier today this girl told me she had some mid.
I hit that ish one time told her that I was high and she could smoke the rest.
Damn.
That shit was nasty.

When I say midgrade I mean it tastes like nuggs and looks like nuggs.
It just does not get you to the exact same place and not as long either.

I can hit a bowl of this and be high for 2-3 hours.
Real high quality nuggs keep me high like 4-5 hours.

I know that seems crazy.
I have gauged this by when i smoke before I go to work.
How long it takes me to seem completly sober again.

I just need the pollen from a guality strain male.
My clones would allow me to have seeds in 2 mo's if I pollenated at the right time.
I figure once they start showing flowers I should do it a week or so later.
I feel like I could get maybe 30-50 good viable quality seeds per plant that I seed.
It may take a lil longer than 2 mo's to get mature seeds.
I like them big and dark and preferably round.
These small lighter seeds are hard as hell to grow.
I usually toss them out of my seeds that I keep.
This mid that I got my seeds from might have 15-20 seeds per ounce.

My ish that I am growing of course is all sensimillia until it gets pollentated.

Hey, Mid...I was looking on Nirvana's Forum and saw this little comment.....

Crossbreeding for particular characteristics and then stabilizing a new strain of cannabis seed is a lengthy and involved task that requires controlled conditions and a lot of space , for alot of plants ,,,

The home grower that wants to cross a couple good strains must use a hit and miss method and then clone all future crops. Pick a female that has the characteristics that you're looking for: flavor, aroma, size, and buzz (of course) ,,,

Pollinate it with a male from another variety. Collect and grow the resulting seeds. They will be a mixed bag of plants having different characteristics, some more resembling their mother, some their father ,,,

If you get lucky, you'll get a female with the qualities you where looking for and you can begin cloning it. If not, try again, or try reversing the male and female. Instead of a male from variety (x) and a female from variety (y), use a female from variety (x) and a male from variety (y) ,,,

Like I said, it's hit and miss until you get want your looking for, and when you do, without a controlled program of back breeding to stabilize it, all you can do is clone it ,,,

yes i agree getting stable seeds from the breeding takes time. i am still learning. \
you will see you can easily breed junk or you can hit a home run like i think i finally have!

Im doing some reading on the breeding. I was hoping a strain could eventually be produced. But the time/# of plants needed means I have to be happy just to get a good pheno with from a cross....and keep cloning. My own personal strain is the best I could hope for.

BTW...the seeds Im growing out are pretty consistent in size, growth rate....very uniform.

yes but once flowered will they produce the same buds flavors and yeilds, if you notice a ton of pistols and no bulking don't go on. i saw 3 air buds come out of the last try.

of 10 plants 3 were the bomb. and 7 bombed or were male

We made "wake N Bake " smells like fresh pancakes monster resin. massive body stone!
just loose on the bud!

Im looking for a mother....as you suggested. I think I can find one from all the seeds provided.

I still have all the WWxShiva seeds to try still too. I'll be busy for a while.

And if they come out airy...Im sure I'll still get my buzz....I'll still keep a mom regardless of how good it is. Smoke is an extra right now....a mother is most important. I need an effecient grow....all females.

Just an update....No pics this post.

A few leaves have come off still....I think my problem as of now is a Mg deficiency. Last watering I added a 1/2tsp of Epsom salt per gallon. We'll see how that does.

Also, for the time being I will switch the Botanicare Sweet and use good ole' Grandma's BlackStrap Molasses. Mainly because of my Mg def. The molasses may help with that and still add the extra carbs.

After 2 days of 12/12 the plants are already starting to reach up. You'll see with the next set of pics. I see now why I was instructed to flower early as to keep the height down.

Maybe in a couple days I'll update the pics.

Yeah I just fed mine with some cheap miracle gro bloom nutes ( 1/8 th tsp) about a half a tsp of molases and some h2o2 in a gallon of water.

My eight clones drink a gallon of water every 5-6 ds and I feed them every other water with the above mentioned mix.

The ratios of the nute have been increasing since I started flowering.

I have found to start at the very lowest amount and creep with nutes.
This will eliminate the nute burn.

I feel after doing this for a few grows it will allow me to see what a plant can take and what to give it and when.

So here they are....

After seeing the deficient leaves simply wither and die....I removed the rest before they did. The undergrowth was begging for light....and the bad leaves were more a drain on the plant's resources than anything else.

So I took them off.

Here are the warriors after a good feeding.

6 Days into 12/12 and 5 of my 7 plants appear to be female. The first 5 I planted. 2 have yet to show sex. The plant in the bubbler and 1 in soil.

Lights just came on so I took some pics. Not the best but I think you can see what I see.

Here are the last of the pics for this week that I promised.

Also...the final plant in soil has shown its sex.....It too is female.

This leaves just the plant in the bubble bucket needing to show its true colors.

Update....

I took one confirmed female from the flower area to put her back in veg (2nd plant from the right in the 1st pic...green pot w/perlite). So Im flowering 5 plants instead of 6. I'll keep her as a mother. The bubble bucket plant is looking to be male...I havent seen anything to confirm. But my past grow's males presented themselves the same way.

So the plant in the bubbler looks to be headed to the gallows I'll let him finish his last res of nutes as a last meal. Maybe something will happen and he'll get a pardon by showing he's really a she. Its only been a week of 12/12.

wait it out till it shows for sure. I had one plant I thought was going to be male and it just turnd out to be a girl. the girls take the longest to show
