The Goat's Amateur Secret Garden - Test Run

This is, officially, my very first outdoor grow. I have been looking for a nice hiding spot with access to water for two months now, and I finally found a great area. Its not too far from the road, but its super thorny and well camo-d, so I decided to bust a test grow to both 'get my wings' and to observe the outdoor grow cycle. I recently completed my 1st indoor over the winter and spring, and had a few clones that I could spare.

I was going to put 5-10 clones outdoors, but only three of the clones looked strong enough to survive (I have no way to safely 'harden them off' which could be a big problem). The strain is either Purple Kush or an excellent bagseed I named Bearded Dragon. I also planted four seeds in another location, just as an observational test because the other spot is pretty crappy. I figure even if all these ladies die, my future crops will implement the knowledge I gained this season and rock out a much bigger garden.

I dug three somewhat small holes, and filled them with FF ocean forest, supersoil, perlite, and SoilMoist moisture crystals. I then covered it up with the natural mulch. Even standing over the plants, it was almost impossible to see them they were so blended in with the surroundings. By the time I left the spot, they looked pretty darn legit. You be the judge, I guess.

I don't care if the plants are stolen or die, it's only three babies anyways. I will post pics whenever I roll by there, probably once a week or less. peace/love to my RIU'ers:bigjoint:
ps. +rep for any who respond

Its fun huh? do you think they will have enough light to flower? I would quit worrying about someone finding it unless its frequented a lot, attracting nosey people/animals. Be safe and keep us updated.

fun, it is... and a lot of satisfying work getting all the shit out to the spot safely...

I should have a decent amount of light on them, but my main concern is people rolling through the spot. people walk around the area and its really close to a road, but its cloaked well and in a grove of spikey plants that suck ass... We'll see, I'm goin crazy thinking about the infinite variable of death, haha.

So I finally checked on them for the first time since planting........ and they are still there! and healthy! I ran out of time after watering them, so I don't have any pics... but they look great, and already grew a solid inch. that means they are over transplant shock, woot!

okay, if I get this job I'm interviewing for today, I might get off my ass and check them out... It takes a fair bit of gas to get out to them, I wish I had a back yard!

... and they didn't even look thirsty after a week+ of not watering. either the roots found some water or those moisture crystals are workin overtime. These are two of the three plants. they are stretching a bit, but thats is alright by me as I crave some truly giant stalks by harvest time. their trunk is sturdy, and they are more camo-d then ever. :peace:

thanks cb. your comment on public seed planting reminds me of a recent 'overgrow' plot to plant clones at courthouses, malls, etc. but seeds would be better cause they would perpetuate themselves naturally. I never did get around to giving up any clones to this conspiracy. :peace:
