I’ve done allot of fishing right by this guy. I’ve crossed up lines on the downriggers with him more than a few times too lol. But this mofo knows how to get the big ones out of shasta. I’ve followed his advice from the dock but never got bigger than 10lb’s. But i also usually only fish shasta during the summer for the big bows. The thermocline is down around 70’. The big browns are mostly caught up rivers different time of year.
one of these days i need to pay up and go out with him.

Spring Browns run planer boards in the shallows with stick baits through the mud lines.
I dont follow internet fishermen. I hate them tbh. Lake O Browns are world class.

i could name drop a good dozen or so guides around here that I know cause of fishing.

there’s a couple different norcal fishing reports done around where you see them on

I'm pretty deep seeded in the fishing community here. Most know me, or of me. I'm really not trying to tout my horn or anything. I just put in alot of time, and it pays. My buddies run the charter boats here, and I'm always connected with the info. Had the pleasure and privilege to fish with all the 'oldies' and learned alot from them through my years. Sad to see many of them passing on now, casting to the big pond in the sky.....but that's the way it is. Up to me to keep their ideals and legacies alive. Big shoes to fill.

I wish i had time to fish like you do. I’ve been so god damn busy ever since the fire. It’s bullshit

Meh. Guides are over rated. Information is power. Anyone can catch fish if they're told exactly what to do and where to do it. I'm not into that shit because those guys sell out spots. They don't give a shit they just want the $. I don t care what you pay me I'll never take you to my honey holes. If someone asks me what I caught I say 'nadda'. Everytime. I don't need a pat on the back I know I'm awsome. :). Lol

I make the time. I need to. Otherwise I go squirrelly. I'll go before work, when the wife goes to bed.... Whatever I need to do i do it. Last night I got a total of 2hrs sleep before I was out the door and on the river holding my spot.
