The First Set of Leaves Yellow?

My buddy has had his plants growing for 2 weeks already, and the first set of leaves (the ones that first show up on the plant, the lowest and smallest set on the stem) are turning yellow. The rest of the plant is healthy besides this. What could be causing this? Is it bad?

you are probably talking about the seed leaves, they just act as a food storage until the roots are established, then the plant will suck them dry.

Like ANC says, that's normal.
