Ive been good just jumpin around on here occupying my time

and i can start by saying that they are most likely

BC god bud

pure Hawaiian

white widow or white russian

and PP if that stands for power plant

my friends have some goin right now and it looks alot like that bottom picture

but ive also seen bc god bud look very similar to it. and it looks alot like the strain i grow which is a cross of god bud

the top one is probably the pure hawaiian just because how big the leaves are.

alot of landraces have huge growing leaves because they werent really made to grow indoor

other than that the top one is very indica and the bottom one is sativa heavy but a hybrid because the leaves are so short.

well feminized seeds are just like a short cut. instead of buying 10 seeds and the chance of them being male is 50/50

you buy fem seeds and theyre 100% fem. well supposed to be but some breeders cut corners and do it wrong so theres a chance of getting hermaphridites.

its been said that stronger strains come from regular seeds because they arent "mutant" but some mutants turn out really good haha.

alot of first time growers or growers with limited time/space/plant count use them so they dont have to grow out 10 seeds and only end up with a few females.

also they look pretty good! i hope they dont get shut down because federal law says that no one can breed/sell seeds in the united states. but medical laws probably let them get around it. i remember seeing dispensaries with tons of seeds to grow shit but htey werent legally allowed to sell em.they look tasty though!!!

i wish i knew more about more of those strains! people have such fucked up names for shti now a days

i like the classic diesel or skunk or white widow. things you know and taste are true.

this one does look a little more indica dom hybrid than the god bud one. could be the critical. a buddy had an auto critical that looked fairly close. once they start budding youll know for sure.

ok so I should actually wait till they start budding to try to identify them? it would be easier?...I agree, things were much simpler when I was a kid, you got your baggy and went and had fun no worries over things but I remember too that every once in awhile a new name would pop up and everyone would be all gung ho for it I think one of the first new ones I heard of was something like acapulco gold? http://reefersmoke.com/2009/02/acapulco_gold/ that was back in the 70's thats also when I think it was a big thing if it had red or gold colored hairs in it they called it... being from a very small town in Idaho it was a huge thing rofl...I dont think we even knew much about rather it was a sativa or Indica, my dad used to grow his out behind the woodpile ahhhh the memories...lol...makin me feel old ... Oh well Good Morning To you and all, 4:32 a.m. sure do wish I knew how to have uninterupted sleepI even beat the birds this morning....LOL...

yeah itll really be noticeable even in the first few weeks of flower.

Damn! My friends mom always talks about that. she went to mexico and got a lb for $200

and she said panama red and acapulco gold were the first strains she ever heard of too. and they were "next level shit" hahaha

i love talkin to real people from back in the day.

And try smokin a heavy/pure indica. and alot of it. right before bed. shit smoke til you fall asleep.

Thanks! also its twelve days if you count the 3 days of darkness. hahaha

but thanks! make sure you adjust the timer to suit your locational needs

so if your place is more humid bump the intervals up or just wait an extra day

if your humidity is lower then slow the fans down a bit

my shit is crispy in 2.5 days in SoCal. no way it could go 9 days without tupperware.
I've been thinking of building a curing chamber with a hydrostat to turn on/off a humidifier.

I cut and trim and leave buds on stems. Put them in a hanging drying rack thing for a day or 2 depending on how long it all sat on my table waiting to be trimmed ;)
when i take them out of the drying rack i cut from stem and do a final cleanup trim of anything I missed.
Put it in tupperware.
burp daily. When I burp I open it all the way, sniff it alot, and fan the container with the lid like a madman for a few seconds. Reseal
I have to burp maybe 5 days everyday. THen Ill burp once a week maybe if I remember or its not all gone.

Hey man I also am in SO CAL and and lately its been high 60's and same ish humidity ...you think 2-3 days in my tent on a dry rack with my fan on few hours a day will be ready to cure

No problem!

Now when it comes to my lighting i do 18/6 and even 16/8 sometimes. Ive done 24/0 and 20/4 before but didnt like them. i felt like for some strains they grow to much vertically. i use 16/8 if i have a more sativa strain and it keeps em bushy! and they show preflowers earlier as well as knock about 5 days to a week off my flowering time.

But for more indica i keep it at 18/6 to stretch em out a bit.
That's weird. I found that decreasing the light time caused more stretching. I noticed this when decreasing my lights heading into 12/12 and they started stretching like crazy. Did some research and I found this due to Auxins (spelling?) being released and created in dark times. Apparently this is a hormone all plants make and it causes them to have more root and stem (stretch) growth.

I dont use a fan. My I just pulled a small batch of about 6oz out of my catipiller drying rack after 3 days and it was perfect. Usually 3 days is on the far side of to much.

speaking of socal humidity. My freaking wall were dripping. It was cool enough my AC didnt have to run and humidity in my garden went nuts. Had to crank the bitch down to 72 just to dry it out in there.

I think that what people need to first think about is the style of drying and curing that best suits their climate / conditions.

In my area, it's so dry (7% RH right now) that I had to go back to chopping my plants and hanging them upside down, whole. In only 3 days the fan leaves are crispy and by no later than 4 days, they are ready for cure.
I have buggered up a few good harvests trying out what I call the coastal style, which are generally humid areas to which the buds are trimmed, dried and cured as the buds done that way where I am at, will be crispy on the outside within hours of being trimmed. It is just way too dry for that style so I went back to the old school way which is drying, trimming, curing and the difference is like night and day.

In the summer we do get some humid weeks so I'm going to keep the op's technique in mind. Thanks for posting that.

I will hang them in my tent for 3 days before cure.
