The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

You can dispute... But you'll probably only stand a chance if they offer assurance, and you have it in writing that they will return the item should it not work according to specs/defaults etc.

What I used to do is have them state that they would pay the return freight and a full refund if the product was not upto specification. Although when it wasn't it was still an issue to return it. My point is don't buy fixtures from them directly. A board and a driver is a very different thing.

As the title suggest, can people post their builds, current grows, with results and not bullshit.
Please don't start shit between HLG and Chinese made boards, every one has their own ideas and budgets and that's fine.
This could be just as educational as any other custom builds, lets see how they grow.
I would like to know how good they r as im always buying new lights. Ppl talk shit about viparspectra and they rock for me with a hps for companion

I'd say throw out the viparspectra and HPS and just switch to the new LED quantum boards. They rock. I'd fork out the extra $ for the lm301b's for a little more added efficiency. https://app.alibaba.com/dynamiclink?touchId=62056058655&type=product&schema=enalibaba://detail?id=62056058655&ck=share_detail&ck=share_detail&shareScene=buyer

I hate to say it but those look poor to me, the red diodes are garbage, it's cheap but not really that cheap in comparison to other products. I would avoid it. But that's just my opinion

I will try to explain why I say that board isn't very good, I am used to looking at things and comming up with an instant opinion of what I am looking at and who I am dealing with. If a company is going to pay the money for Lm301b and then mix it with the cheap shit red diodes like they do and not something that actually is good such as an osram red diode then that instantly tells me that the company producing the board are a tight arse company that has no clue what they are doing and most likely do not pay the money to have a genuine lm301b Samsung because they know you can not tell the difference between the chips. They will do well in your grow room but trying to compare that to a genuine product is wrong. Anyone can make a board but there is a big difference in a company that does it right and one that does it wrong. From looking at that board I have no trust at all in whoever is selling it because of those red diodes that cost fuck all and perform terrible. 13 years of dealing with China and seeing the thousands of companies involved in led lighting tells me to avoid that company.

Anything proprietary?
Or cutting edge that they would steal?
I’m just curious
I am just a simple round eyed man. I have learnt when and where to show what I do. I have been copied alot in the past and now days I find myself quoting against products that I designed because 500 companies in China have copied my designs. These are not horticulture lighting designs I learnt my lesson a long time ago. And yes to answer the question I do have cutting edge products but I do not want to sell anything here, I'm just here to help everyone and hopefully get a better result for all you guys growing at home

HPS is still better than most LED products available. I sell LED's but I don't bullshit about the performance either like most led sellers would
This, again, worries me...
Like have you ever grown with HPS and LEDs both for a decent length of time to actually claim these things?

Hey HLG, can I get a discount for smearing your competition (screenshot attached)

HLG: We appreciate your efforts to help us create brand awareness, but we cannot give discounts based on this. However, if you use code 20OFF we will give you 20% off your next order.

Almost sounds lovely ke this is what these people are going for. Bottom line... As long as the boards are manufactured according to PCB manufacturing standards (which any PCB manufacturer does) and the board is created in altium/eagle etc... it doesn't really matter who produces them. Most flagship cellphones have the same processor, same camera, fingerprint sensor and even the same operating system. The nuances are marginal... Take forfinstance Huawei, or even better oneplus... TheTchinese excel in making goodsgwhich have thetsame specs, hardware and software as "branded" flagship mobile phones, and Huawei has even become flagship themselves. Point is, when you are paying for a brand with similar or equal components, you're just a fucking fanboy. Not that there is anything wrong with that... Just don't claim it is 'better' than something that has a little bit different design but has the same shit and does the same shit, only cutting the high-flown fancypants out of it. The only downside to buying anything from overseas is having to pay the high shipping costs associated with it should there be a warranty claim, and yes I agree that Chinese companies morph up and make a lot of poor quality goods at a low price, many times with western backing for a wuick turnaround. That doesn't mean there aren't companies providing quality, warranties, customer service and even free shipping. Again, the proof is in the pudding... In this case the plants and grow experience. Can you prove otherwise?

Can anyone point me in the direction of deep/far red modules/rigid strips/boards for initiators with prooven quality chips to supplement 400W rig?

The difference is I asked them straight out what the red diodes were and they said Epistar, they did not try to bullshit me saying its diodes that it was not. I currently use boards from them, the older ones without the red, they have not given me one bit of issue since day one and I've done nice grows under them. Whether they're honest about the samsung diodes I am not sure, but there are numerous people here growing their boards without any issue.
