What do you guys think about this for a basic rough draft blueprint.

The shed is 7 ft. High, 7 ft. wide, and 14 1/2 ft long.

Does three 1000 watt lights in a row sound sufficient for this area?

EDIT:
if you really wanted more light you could go with 4k. but ac is gonna take up floor space. unless you get a wall unit or fancy split system. 3k will give you room to walk around. u want large reflectors like magnum xxl to spread out 6'.

u could always hang bare bulbs too. if you account for the added heat. will this be a sealed room? have you thought about dehumidifier?

yea 7ft cielings is gonna be your biggest issue IMO. IDK if that room you got there ^^ is gonna be a flowering room or not, but if so, I don't think 3 1000s is even close to enough light. I always use 1 light per 4x4 area...I think that's the standard, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not a very experienced indoor grower yet.

nah....if it were mine, 3- 1 K's would be perfect.....with a walking isle along one of the walls.....you have to have room to work........if you figure, a 28 inch walkway....that would leave approx. 4.5 ft. x 4.5 ft.....for each light....perfect.

That works bro!

Like KK said, get some 8" XXLs and a nice 8" extractor. You already have an A/C?

I assume you are sealing this bitch up and doing CO2?

With 7ft wide it will give you some work space for that Dehum, heater, Wall fans & A/C (make sure you avoid the "heat extracting" portable ones)

Nugs has it right, main line all those bitches! Shouldn't need more than 4ft of plant height but ensure you are able to ratchet those lights all the way to the ceiling if shit goes crazy (and so you can clean)

edit:

quick note, the last thing you want to do is pack that room tight, you limit airflow and it becomes a pita to work.

Install a green light in there so you can work during the day, I haven't been in my room past 9pm in months.

Id be running 6K in there
there certainly is room. hell i put 5k in 9'7" x 9'7" with a bare bulb. you can always squeeze the pots together to work.

but, hes only got 100 amps to the entire house. 6 lights x 5 amps: 30 amps. 6k needs 24,000 btu's cooling. thats another dozen amps @240. plus hes going to need at least 50 pints of removal from his dehu. so call it 60 amps with fans and such. thats fine if you dont have an electric range.

how much power is being used in main residence? are you willing to spend the $ to make a sealed 6k room work?

Hey bro the house has 200 amps. The shed alone has 100 amps.

An although 6k is doable, I'd rather start small since this will be my first major indoor project.

smart to start small. but might want to think of cost to replace equipment. if you expand later its gonna suck if your stuck with a weak ac

Was thinking of running a 24,000 btu window AC anyways, at least thats what my buddy that works at a hydro store suggested.

if you are serious about the possibility of going up to 6k, I would look into a mini-split, it'll pay for itself in no time.

So much great information in here. I have been catching up on reading peoples journals all morning. This one is always the best. You guys share so much helpful stuff.

Budologist , you probably feel like you won the lottery this year, haha. The girls next door are looking great. Are you planning on making any edibles with your haul this year? some Romulan cookies maybe? :weed: haha.

Happy growing.
