Drenched the girls in neem oil tonight after seeing a few spots of PM on the Querkle x Agent Orange.

Need to remember to keep up with that because that's one of my mistakes last year, not spraying with neem oil to prevent problems before they happen.

there are much better alternatives than neem, which deters and kills beneficial insects and organisms. a product called calcium 25 which is an agricultural grade foliar calcium supplement. sprayed every other week. calcium is key in fighting mold. also in conjunction with calcium, it is important to raise the brix level of the plant. brix is the sugar content of the plant. higher the brix, the more disease and pest resistant the plant becomes. there used to be a a product called brix mix that was sold but is now discontinued. but i make a homemade version: tsp earth juice grow, .5 tsp ascorbic acid, .25 tsp meta k, .25 tsp micro, .5 tsp fish hydrolysate and 1tbsp molasses. add hydrogen peroxide and lower orps to 125-150 applied foliar on alternate week to the ca supplement. also spraying aact a couple times a month works wonders. these sprays bolster the plants immune system and are true preventive measures to pests and disease.

Do you know of anywhere that I can get the Calcium25 for less than $55.00 lb?

Lemon water also helps with PM. That's what they use at the garden of weeden.
lemon water changes the ph of the surface of the leaf making it an inhospitable place for pm. the preventative spraying i mentioned above is more about growing healthier plants that dont get pm in the first place.

Sorry I talk so quiet in these videos, I'm always paranoid my neighbors are gonna here me talking about all these random words they've never heard before lol.

Yards a bit messy, I only have 2 days off a week to really get all my gardening done, but we're almost in cruise control, got 2 more plants to put in the ground, and a nice hot batch of super soil to cook up and then it should be smooth sailing until harvest time.

Here's my 4x4 tent next door in the shed that I've tried to flower something out 3 times now and stupid drama keeps preventing it from happening, but no more!

Purple Trainwreck under 600hps and 400mh (when I say female seed I don't mean feminized, I mean that its a seedling that's been sexed and is female)

20 gallon Smart Pot about 1/3 Roots Organic 1/3 Vermifire 1/3 super soil, this will be my first indoor flowering run that I've done on my own.

hey bro, are you sure it raises the brix? i thought it lowered it, because the way i understood it, mold and bacteria, good and bad thrive with sugar....just wondering....

I know what you mean about the few acres, that's my dream is to get some acres somewhere, but where we live at our houses are on the biggest properties around which is .25 acres.

Definitely going to get either a 8 or 16 channel camera system set up soon, there's an app for the iphone where you can watch the camera's on your phone.

And anytime your in cali your welcome to come by!

By this time next year I'm gonna have tons of treats nicely cured

Feeding bacteria molasses in your soil is totally different than the brix content of a plant. The ca25 raises the brix level of the plant as well.

  • BRIX is a measure of the percent solids (TSS) in a given weight of plant juice---nothing more---and nothing less.
  • BRIX is often expressed another way: BRIX equals the percentage of sucrose. However, you will soon enough understand that the "sucrose" can vary widely. For, indeed, the BRIX is actually a summation of the pounds of sucrose, fructose, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, proteins, hormones, and other solids in one hundred pounds of any particular plant juice.
  • BRIX varies directly with plant QUALITY. For instance, a poor, sour tasting grape from worn out land can test 8 or less BRIX. On the other hand, a full flavored, delicious grape, grown on rich, fertile soil can test 24 or better BRIX.

Among other things: high brix levels give you a longer shelf life, a higher yield & enhanced taste, which is exactly what I'm trying to achieve.

Plants with low brix levels tend to be more susceptible to insect & pathogen attack.

Brix readings before and after a fertiliser application can help determine the suitability of different inputs, eg. if the brix rises (after 1- 24 hours after application) then it can be considered suitable, if it stays the same or reduces, it would be considered not suitable at that time.

I see some 7ft. x 7ft. plants in your future, and that is Schweet. Going to need one of those bug zappers to help out with the MoFo caterpillars.
