i had the PVC part figured out, except i was going to make full framed boxes out of it. with legs and cross bars across the feet to hold it all square. hanging them is so much more practical. i often over think things and get stuck on simple ideas. the tough ones i breeze right thru.

Actually, I think DWC is the best bang for the buck, but the but the ponics part does help a lot at early growth stages. The main selling points is faster growth and more control over what the plant gets and how much of it.

I used to hang mine, but now they are only semi hung. Along the back wall, I use 3 zip ties with the mounting holes to secure the screen to the wall but work like a hinge and then used sting to hold the front up. That way I get the benefits of it being really sturdy, but can still be easily lifted for working underneath. I had problems with bumping my screen and messing up my girls a little when I would climb in and out of my room. Thats why I went this route.

Newbie here. My bubbleponic grow was a complete failure. I salvaged one of three white russian seedlings and replanted in soil It is making a slow recovery. I also germinated my remaining two white russian seeds and put them in soil and they are taking off like a rocket. I followed instructions to the letter on my bubbleponic setup to the letter. Very dissapointed. Happy growing everybody. Peace out.

im going to be starting a bubbleponics system in a 20 gal rubbermaid with 2 plants in a 6sqft cabinet, my question is how big of a water pump would be sufficient also what type of air pump would be the best for sound aswell as more then sufficient air supply?:?:

Hey Roseman, after scouring this site for awhile it appears you are the authority on all things bubbleponics. I recently started my first grow and decided to go that route. So far things are looking pretty good but I'm having some problems that I haven't found a solution for in the other threads. I made a post in the newbie forum with some pictures of my plants. Could you take a look a them and tell me what you think. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Here's the link to my post https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/377104-first-grow-bubbleponics.html.Thanks again.

I would like to start a bubbleponic systems, i was wondering if a 600 HPS is suitable. I have heard that CFL is better, is that true? Any advice?

Bubbleponic systems are great. Basically DWC with top feed.

HPS will always be better then CFL in my opinion. CFL's have a place, and work great. My first few grows were all done under flouros and CFL's.

If you can manage the heat, or able to cut holes into the grow room to properly vent the heat go HPS. If heat is a concern, maybe start with a small CFL grow. You can always invest more, later down the road. Might be worth checking out the book Buds for Less.

Best of luck, and happy growing.

HPS is way better than CFL. Do yourself a favor and never listen to anything else the person who told you CFL's is better than HPS says again.
As for bubbleponics. Please don't buy one of these from stealth hydro. You will get ripped. All you need to make a decent DWC rig is a 5 gallon plastic bucket, netpot lid, an air pump and air stone. That's all. Don't send these assholes $200 dollars for a kit you can put togther for $30. Not to mention stealth hydro is notorious for not supplying all the items you order or sending parts that are mismatched and will not work together. IE pump fittings that are too big to fit into the pump assembly. STAY AWAY FROM STEALTH HYDRO. You've been warned.
