This is my first UFO gro. using HTGsupply tri band 90watters and a 24" floro fixture to orange it up a bit. I may be moving the sativa out later when they start crowding each other and throw a 250w hps on it and bud it alone elsewhere.
Really like the combination of phototron pruning from seed and the ufo. I din't do a full PT prune, just did it up to a week before flower, I may do one until 2weeks into flower and see how that does.
LEDs seem to recover plants really fast. best part is the cab is as hot as the room its in. 70* constant here. 45-50%relative humidity. Perfect for the plants and the res stays cool also. I am considering getting a 400w hps in that cab to see what it can do, but that will be on the next grow. After I see what low heat light does for me.
I want to coin that term right now LHL (Low Heat Lighting) Not necessarily led but floro and small CFLS for side lighting but that don't raise the ambient temp much. maybe say less then 10* difference from A.R.T.ambient room temp outside of the cab.
The lights are easy to move turn on and off, but after working in the cab with lights on my eyes get wonky for a bit. Its hella bright.
Wow, just smelled my hand from touching the unknown bagseed and its smells skunky.
You guys know when leaves get that condensation when shadowed closely by another leaf, i touched that and now I want to smoke my hand its smells so chronic.

I need to find that guy I met a little while ago who had a crazy Skunk strain that implodes your face and get a clone.
A while back I did an outdoor on the side of my house for this guy and it was his mom skunk. That was the best smoke I had. But the condensation of the bagseed reminds me of it, and that makes me happy.

No bees eat nectar (sugar water) and pollen (protein powder) that the male flowers make. They dont like flowering females as they are to sticky to move around on.

Well, I got home and found my old handy dandy magnifying glass and I decided to look at my plants nodes.
I hope this pic is clearly visable to you when enlarged. At the upper top visable node, two little hairs (pistils) can be seen in the caylx. And this is only 6 days after starting the 12/12 Light Cycle.
I am just showing you my magnifying glass in the 2nd pic. I am not trying to show you anything through the magnifying glass.
Pre-Flowers:
Everything I have ever read says that Males show PRE-FLOWERES first, and that the biggest, tallest, fastest growing plant in a group is always a Male. Let me also state I have very poor vision and my color blindness adds to the difficulty of seeing different shades of green.
But I found this female Pre-Flower first and I can not find a Male Pre-Flower anywhere. And it is my 2nd tallest fastest growing plant!
I am amazed and just telling you what I found.

High humidity, HEAT, Moisture all attract all kinds of bugs, that is why I put so much emphasis on using a good pesticide all around the grow area, before a grow is started.
Get a magnifying glas and look at the edges of the leaves.

Man, be careful, I;'ve been on this RIU site for almsot 3 years and EVERY MONTH, almsot every week, I see a new thread that says
MY CAT DESTROYED MY GROW.

I have a ferret that wants to help me and she really scares me so that I quit letting her in the grow room.

When Mostly Crazy and I first discussed it and kicked it around, and then got with PurpDaddy and a few others, we had no idea of how it would go, or that the gang would grow so fast! What a well respected group too! I med a new Head here everyday!
Let me tell you a little Hippy History.
In the late 60s and early 70s, hippys hated the word hippy or hippie, and hippies would not say that word. That was a media word. It was what the newspappers called them.
So we referred to ourselves as FREAKS. That was a complimentary word, a flattering word, to then be called a FREAK. It just meant you was a long haired, wierd-dressing bell-bottomed lover of Peace and was also a smoker of the herb! Oh, yea, you ahted the war and was strongly for civil rights. Getting to my point, most of the Freaks were just wild unemployed rebels that stayed stoned. (Flower Child or Flower Children was also used for hippies)
BUT if you was an intellectual FREAK, if you was WISE, and preached PEACE, LOVE AND HAPPINESS and was in any way Spiritual, and a philopsopher, you was called a HEAD. It was just part of the language and jargon and I and others were very flattered to be called a HEAD. A HEAD was a well respected smoker and philosopher and activist.

Cool, Man! Puff, puff, pass! Old freaks/heads never grow up we just figure out how to grow inside away from the narcs! Now I have clothes that are over 30 but I don't trust them either!
