An organic grow in hydro is the toughest version of hydro you could try. I'd bet if you used liquid nutes and good water you would still be surprised at the growth rate.

I am currently testing mixed on my mothers with Organic hydro. Keeping it simple and just bought the fox farm line up of liquids. Been in for 3 days. PPM's have stayed very stable with a slow but steady ph climb. The plant has not yet shown any negative signs and the Mango mother I'm testing on is getting a richer, healthier looking green to it. Wasnt bad before, but looking better. I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. This set so far is very simple to use, but I'm still looking to see if I can find a reliable Organic bloom booster(Like Liquid Kool Bloom but organic). Does anyone know of any?

Im in the middlle of building something like that only Im using 4 3.5g buckets with a fifth one for the rez. Im going to use the submersible pump with the manifold from stealth hydro and just shut two of the outlets off and have all the buckets hooked to the res for circulation. then when I get a good amount of roots in the water I willpull the tubes out and just let them keep recirculating the solution. I almost have it finished and cant wait to try it I think it will help me utilize my light and space more effidiently since Ill be able to move the buckets around and spin them where as with the sh setup your kind of limited.

Damn, sounds like you and I have almost identical setups.

That sucks, I thought I was an innovator, oh well - I'm gonna have eight buckets with air pumps and air stones interconnected with a pond pump circulating water throughout the system - I even named it already, was gonna call it "Bob-o-ponics".

Damn.

i would like to go with 6 5 gallon bubble buckets, in a 4x4x7 area. how long should i veg for? i am going with the strain opium. i would like to grow organically but i also want to yield the most possible, so i might go with the lucas formula. i will be using a 6oowatt hps. how much could i possible yield?

that is normal, many nutes do stain the water. Yopu ought to see what Liquid Karma does to the water!!!

ok, thanks Roseman...o and btw, you totally convinced me to switch to bubbleponics...i just set mine up last night...wuddaya think!? couple clones from unknown indica, 1 big bud fem sprout from ministry of cannabis and the bigger plant is unknow sex/strain bagseed that i transplanted into the bubbleponic last night...

oh, and whats an ideal res H2o temp supposed to be? my 400 watt'r is heating the lid and thus heating the res...

Check out this tutorial by Train1 - he recommends about two weeks of vegging.

FYI, I'm doing something similar under a 1000 if you wanted to check out my journal.

You should VEG as long as your Height Space allows, up to 6 weeks with Indica, and three months with Sativa.

The longer the VEG cycle, the more the yield.
Consider this, in nature, outdoors, we plant a seed in mid to late April. It grows through April, May, June, July, and in mid to late July, as the sun's rays change, the plant naturally changes from VEG to FLOWER, with the diminishing sun's rays. That is nature's way. The plant grows and matures to an adult plant for about 3 to 4 months. THEN, it makes flowers. That is nature's way.
Indoors, in HYDRO with feeder tubes, we cut that time in half, by using 24/7 LIGHT. instead of 3 months, or 13 weeks, it takes about 6 weeks to become a mature plant in HYDRO, with 24/7 LIGHT. (talkin bout Indica)

OK, also in nature, we see most animals and humans reproduce at maturity or adulthood. If a human, (or dog or any animal) is forced to make babies before maturity, like getting a 12 yr old girl pregnant, then the babies are weak, or runts, or deformed, and just not at their best.
A dude here, a most experienced, knowledgable grower named fdd2blk (and a MOD here too) taught me a long time ago, that it does not make sense, it is not wise, it is not logical, to make a child have a child, and it is not wise or smart or logical to make an immature baby plant, have babies. LET THE BABIES GROW AND LET THE ADULTS MAKE BABIES.

If you will VEG for 5 weeks, to 6 weeks, you will have more time for proper TOPPING, PRUNING, AND FIMMING, and you'll get bigger plants, and you will also have a mature adult plant, ready to make healthy, stronger babies (flowers) .

If you begin Indica Flowering, after VEGGING 3 or 4 weeks, you will harvest about 60% to 75% of what you would have harvested, IF you had waited and VEGGED for 5 or 6 full weeks.

This info applies to rapid growing in Hydro, and to Indica strains. NOT slowly in SOIL, and NOT Sativa.

I average 3 to 4 ounces per plant, VEGGING 5 to 6 weeks, and I have gotten 7 ounces from one plant, the one you see at my signature. I got that with planned, proper Topping and Pruning and Fimming, and creating more tops or cola sites.

A plant shows its maturity when it starts making new leaves without one exactly accross from it.

Yield will depend on Strain, lenght of VEG cycle, and how many plants you put in each bucket.
