well I got to page 14 and enjoyed all the talk. I cant wait to see what happens with the illegal smiles. Looks like they have worked it out but ill read on to see what happens. I dont really like the air pump im using. It dosent put out as much bubbles in my 10 gal tub as id like to see. What pump is everyone using? Here are some pics of my grow.

I'm using this set up for air:

This pump:

With these air stones:

At 600 gph it has more than enough air. It comes with a 4 way splitter and I would put 2 in each tank. If you get any bugs in the res they better know how to surf!

Very nice set-up you have and the plants look great. I always wondered about the Violator Kush. It was on my have to grow list at one point.

Join the bubbleheads! You certainly qualify! Grab the badge!

i was wondering the same thing. Due to some crazy shit im in a one bedroom apartment till then end of may when the lease is up for the people I rented my house to. I have been living out of state and am moving back to my home town when I can get back in my house. Anyhow my tent is in my bedroom and id like to keep it somewhat quiet so I can sleep.

I'll give it a whirl and look to see improvement. Like your tech explanation. They are very understandable and that's hard to do with tech!

At what rate and when do you add the h2o2. Also what strength - 3%?
Check out Oxy Blast. I got a free Oxy Blast "kit" recently to "try out". Wont turn down free !

I think it is just h202. Came with some test strips too, but I don't use them. I add 1/2 a teaspoon to my 6 gallons of water.

Found it here:
http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=NEGOB32

It says it is "food grade" h202, doesn't that just mean 35% ???

Yep, I've read that article before...very good!

I have no doubt about the benefits of molasses, even in hydro. I wouldn't use organic nutrients in higher water temps for the same reason I wouldn't use molasses - organic nutrients are meant to attract/grow beneficial bacteria/fungi, which like lower temp/higher DO in water. But they will also attract the anaerobic pathogens that like higher temp/lower DO conditions if those conditions are present.

Chemical nutrients can be used in any conditions, but are REQUIRED in high temp/low DO conditions IN MY OPINION. Your chance of failure goes up, but you CAN grow successfully in these conditions...100% successfully if you grow in a STERILE environment. This is why I recommend chemical nutes and H2O2 in high water temp grow conditions...so you can maintain a sterile environment without the NEED for beneficials OR the danger of pathogens.

Of course, somebody will probably come and say how they've grown in high-temperature organic nutes for years without problem. To which I would say: smoking cigarettes doesn't always mean you'll get cancer...but it sure does increase the risk!
Good points and it makes sense. I am not stuck on organics in any way, but some are. I understand the risk you run with them, but some find that almost next to nothing for the benefits. To each his own, I just wanted to talk some molasses with ya ! :peace:

Dystopia,

So When I add it I mix it in a gallon jug and add it to the res, right.
Yup, I use a 2 gallon jug, but you got it.

It's quiet most fo the time. I've had one that has remained quiet for about 9 months and my new one ( I have two for two different tanks located at each end of my closet) was a little noisy there for a while and I placed it on a kitchen sponge and it's quiet again. Just checked the new one again and yep, it's more quiet than the small fan running in the same room.

I suspend (hang) my air pump using some clear aquarium air tube, so that the pump itself is suspended in the air. This really helps with the vibration/noise issues.

Tada! Can't believe it, I did it! I did everything wrong and still got smoke. The next 4 (all have buds already) will be so much better. Have added 3 lights. I'm down to 7 clones, still no roots thru hydroton (7 weeks old).
Congratulations, Applause, Applause.

yea, I hang mine too, but I once had one to start making noise and I put a sponge in between the pump and the wall.
