Even with CFL's you'll still need to vent your tent. Think of it this way: if you were sealed up in a room you'd soon run out of oxygen; same holds true for a plant, except it'll run out of CO2. It's a good idea to completly swap out the air once every 3-5 minutes to refresh the CO2 in the tent (more if you have a heat problem). Venting will also help with humidity control (that's why you have bathroom fans). And if you're venting you can hook up a canister for odor control.what's going on guys im in the process of starting my first grow, and I just want to say that you guys are by far the most impressive bunch of geniuses I've ever read about, there's so much information that it's overwhelming, from this day forward I pledge to be one of you (that's if you'll have me) I was going to purchase a supercloset deluxe, but changed my mind after seeing all the threads, any information to a beginner is welcome, I was looking to get HID lighting with ventilation, but I think I'm going to read up on the cfl's and see how I do since it's my first grow. (gotta crawl b4 you can run right?) but all of your input is deeply appreciated, I'll be asking plenty of questions here in the future so don't worry. Just for your info, I planned on getting the dual spectrum combo kit, (not sure how many lights but I wana do like 5 plants) I read that it's good to go with a 2:1 ratio, so I'll probably try that, also a 2x4x6' grow tent. (I was thinking about the 4x4x7 though for future grows) and I'm really not sure what to use for odor control since I'll be using the cfl's any suggestions?
what up gang.. just wanted to post pics on the first full day of 12-12, the bagseed (the largest one) didnt change but the sativa in the back left cup actually grew 1 inch.... kinda cool..lol.. anyways heres some pics and one with a gallon jug for size reference!!
Hi Roseman I'm new to this post thanks for all your good advice!
I have the bubbletronics system in route should arrive tomorrow.
I was just wondering how long you let your plants veg for, and do you
keep using the bloom formula all the way until harvest?

you should add the BubbleHeads Gang logo to your signature.
you need 1/2" tubing to connect the pump to the hub,,,depending on sizes,,the tubing size will vary...but for the bubbleponics unit its 1/2"Hey everyone, I'm about to start my grow journal with my very first DIY Bubbleponics grow. I have 3 lowryder#2 seeds and 1 California Hash Plant seed (freebie and prob gonna suck), and of those seeds, two are already germinated. I have to act fast and I have all the materials neccessary including my lighting, but i have one problem. I have the irrigation hub, the water pump (submersible), and clear tubing. How in the hell do I connect the irigation hub to the pump and then to the net pots? I know it sounds like a whack ass question, and maybe it is, but I just cant seem to find out how to get the system actually working.
Please help!
He beat me to it. 100% correct. The shorter the flowering time, usually the faster they'll show. Fastest i have had pistils show was 7 days and the longest was 3 weeks. So about another week or so till the mystery is solved. Got my fingers crossed for you that it's a girl!GS.
It usually takes 10 days to two weeks after 12/21 to show sex. Patience! The 12/12 sends special auxins that tell the plant to flower. Plants look excellent! Don't have any experience with straight sativas. Mine are all I/S crosses due to height limitations.
