I'm rebuilding my 78 sporty this winter.In the dirt I ride a updated 89 cr 500.I own about a dozen ski doos and a couple old Honda atvs.And a honda street bike for when the harley is apart
 
Ohh an iron head......I want a 500 so bad my head is going to explode.....a 2t coffee can sized cylinder and no power valve is the epitome of simplicity and maintenence imho.........what kind of honda?

too many hondas to list...250r-atc and trx.A mint 85-cr125,a 74 250cr,1989 cr 500,1980 cbx500 and a few various other trikes.
 
It's been about 2 years since I've gone more then 50 miles due to knee and shoulder surgeries but,
I have CVO Street Glide for cross country and a 48 Sportster for around town.
Might just have to go for a ride after the Christmas lights come down tomorrow.:lol:
 
When they were lookin' for me, they took my bikes -- had an R1 and a couple others. I never got around to selling any of my bikes, just totaling 'em and buying another one.

I dream in Aprilia now, but, I'm certain that the boss lady would prefer I got a cruiser, if we can ever afford toys again.

Got my Iron Butt T on the R1, riding down from Minneapolis to ABQ about 8 years ago -- had to beat a March blizzard. After that, I tapped out on anything more than 600 in a day!

CBR & twostroke -- very nice.

I had the same bike when i was younger
My 250 was race preped , heads were ported to the max , bore was 80 thou oversize , Boysen racing reeds , etc
Then i got a brand new 2002 Honda CR500 with rec reg , so it had number plate,headlight , tail and brake light .
It was awsome , on a gravel road it used to lift the front wheel no worries in 5th gear . It got a bit scary sometimes though !
I remember 1 time i was going down a trail and i hit a bump , i went flying off my seat straight up and then back
At the same time this was going on i PULLED back on the throttle fully ,
So i was half hanging off the back of the bike going flat out in 3rd gear i think , The front end of the bike was in the air , out of control
heading towardes a corner , and some how i got back on the bike and stopped it b4 the corner .
I wish i got that one on vid i tell ya .

I also had a CBR250 when i got my bike license at 21 , the best thing was after my learners i got a full license , because i have a full car license (no p plate )
Then i got a CBR600 , sold that , then got a CBR900 , Then a CBR1000RR Nicky Hayden replica , With upgraded cpu and exhaust !
It was loud and scary , Being 75kg it would wheel stand anything above half throttle . It would break all aussie speed limits in first gear .

Clint, lots of ppl had a hard time wrapping their head around the first gear thing when I tell them that.....my former 2002GSXR1000 would literally do 90mph in first gear.....the repli-racers have a crazy high redline and extremely tight gear ratios.

Here is one of my current bikes, 02 fxdwg stupid fast wheelie pulling hooligan bike. I put more money into the motor in the bike than its worth.

I grew up racing dirt bikes. I've had many cr250r's and a couple crf450r's. I used to race the "A" class before I broke my back in 08.
 
Yay! I'm a biker since 16 years of age. My first bike was a 2 stroke Honda MT 50cc trail bike. I've since got a full licence in my 20's and had a Honda CBR600cc (quite big for a girl, even a tall one) and now have a 50cc again because I live in a city!
 
I found zen on the 600CC class of sport bikes.

For me, they are the perfect blend of quick acceleration, maneuverability, and top-end speed. I love the feeling of holding a line through a well paved sweeping turn.

Can't ride a dirt bike worth a damn though...
 
I'm a bigger guy, the R1 USED to be a bigger bike -- big enough for a 6'3" guy. Now, they're smaller than the 6.

I still get wood over the B-King, I had it for a few months, and it was the best of both worlds. I haven't ridden a straight cruiser since I was 16, even my old Maxim was a cafe conversion. I'd like to hop on a nice cruiser again! And, definitely would love to ride with some of the crazies here!

Lahada, mad respect for limiting your bike, because you didn't need to go bigger! It's good to respect the ride! I knew a few women (mostly under 5'5") that rode 1000s, but most of the bikes were V-Twins, Superhawks especially, but a few SV1000s. It's not the size of the ride, it's the ability of the rider. Anyone can get on a 1000 and twist their wrist with trepidation, but once confidence sets in that old "a 600 can kill you, a 1000 tries to kill you" kicks in... I saw a shitload of loops and high sides because of a little nervous throttle twitch in corners or off the line...
