Also the one plant I have in a 5 gal bucket (with holes drilled every few inches along sides and bottom for drainage) looks like 25% bigger and healthier than any of the smart pots. Go figure. This could be a coincidence, maybe just a better pheno, but it sure looks healthy. I tried to sacrifice one under-developed top to clone it but the clone went limp on me... I might have to sacrifice one more cola and make sure i get a cutting though, at some point before flowering starts... the plant is obviously thriving beyond the rest of the pack.

Okay, I guess I owe an update! I ended up rushing the shift more than I wanted, but got the hours to 12/12 five days ago and just put in the red bulb arrangement today. I am getting some stretch from some, others not as much. We'll see how bad the damage is , there may be some retraining to be done after they're about done to even out canopies... but I did notice one C99 is a bit of a run and hasn't shot up nearly as much as the others... she's been the shorty all along so it's not surprising, but that one will probably just float low and I'll worry about evening out all the others together, rather than try to bring the taller ones down to her height. Maybe I'll find some more bricks to stack under her, heh.

Anyway, I've been slacking big time because shit's been kind of crazy but I am gonna go take some progress pics now.

Here we go...

Chamber shot:

Centered on the Coughs:

Centered on C99's with the runt in the front there to share space with the widest cough, since she doesn't wanna widen up anyway:

As you can see the front one is suffering some sort of deficiency too, while the rest are fine... if I can figure out what's troubling her maybe I can get her to grow a little faster...

Here's a leaf shot close up... does it look like this lady needs more nitrogen?

Still waiting on my replacement pump so I can't make teas quite yet, but I am thinking I'll give her (and heck, why not all) a top dressing of EWC for now, see what that does...

Sweet Tooth Auto:

d'oh, hate it when I miss cat hair right in the middle of a bud when taking a pic, LOL. Freaking cats.

more shots:

She lives in the clone/mother chamber under CFL's now... two are the big 46w ones and one the next size down, whatever that is. But I got that sweet tooth surrounded to take the bulk of that. Then the C99 mother I'm bonsaing (pictured below, in back) and the clones below get whatever's left over:

All three CFLs in place around her:

(the end of the one on the right intentionally faced that way so that the clone chamber catches more of the CFL throw.)

Clone chamber, I just trimmed up a bunch more of the lowest shoots on the big and beautiful raspberry cough hoping to get one viable clone. I took a bunch, all I need is one to keep, haha. But they are definitely tiny as fuck, so I'm probably pushing it. This was the last chance though, they're in flower now... should have done it last week even... but I think they'll still take five days after flip.

Just igonre that orka seedling, LOL. That thing stretched like crazy because it was growing in a less than opportune spot while I was away. I'll bury as much of that stem as I can when I transplant it... heh.

Just realized I failboated on the c99 group shot too, heh. God. RIU's pissing me off to no end right now. All I can do to not throw the fuckin' laptop.. time for a bowl...

here's the pic I missed of the c99's:

Ones in the back are okay, just this one seems to be pale. And as you can see it's mostly old growth showing it.

looks hungry for N, dont see nothing else there sorry to say, pH in the media could be real low causing lockout.

That top dressing sounds like a plan!
You can make somewhat of a concauction if you want and top throw some kelp meal and guano in there too!

If that doesn't help I think you gotta go to the pH like Poly said!
Neptune's harvest is also good for right away N.

Sounds good, I will give her a mix of the three and see how she likes that... thanks mang.

I hope it's not ph related. Is possible but I don't know why just one plant would swing while the others are okay... I know there's a potential for variance in "hunger levels" for various nutes on a plant-per-plant basis, so deficiency seemed more reasonable in my mind.. Let's hope anyway :D

Oh good me likes are back, LOL. They were gone for a minute there...

Neptune's harvest is also good for right away N.

I think I'll give them all some of that neptune's harvest next watering, regardless of whether or not I got the bubbles set up. Maybe top dress too on the one who's hurting though.

It's been fading in slowly for a couple weeks. There was only the faintest hint of it last time I took pics.

I think I will try top-dressing a bunch of EWC to help her out, see if that does it.
how about making a very bactierial dominant tea with EWC this will give you a fast acting N source to determine if thats the problem. bubble the tea at higher temps add sugar and EWC only. 24 hours at 75-80 degree will get you there. i wouldnt even separate the EWC you use from the water.

Great idea Poly! But he doesn't have the bubbler yet!
You should def. do that once you get the pump bro!

And just shake the Neptunes harvest up real good before you use it!

I can bubble it with my weak air pump, better than nothin... I'll start something brewing tomorrow... maybe the new pump will arrive before I get to it, heh.

Got some tea brewing, close to Sincerely's recommended recipe from earlier... used catalyst instead of molasses, and at a higher rate to compensate since I think it has less sugar overall, being made of several things in addition to the molasses... and judging by the fact that it's a liquid and not a thick syrup, lol. Gamblin', we'll see how it comes out, heh. I threw in one extra tbsp of the fish guts too just in case it's way too much sugar, heh.

Top dressed the stunted lady with EWC in preparation for the feeding tomorrow as well.

Uhh I just jumped in to this thread, and skim-read upon seeing your Def a couple pages back.... Is that what you're discussing now? The interveinal chlorosis in the middle leaves?

EDIT: this:

If so, I am 99% sure that is textbook Mg def - Not N. Looks exactly like a case i had.

Treat with epsom salts magnesium sulphate) which you can get at a chemist/pharmacy for constipation :)

(fine for organic too)

This is the first time I've read your journal man. You seem to have a similar philosophy to me as far as not wasting space. lots of little experiments. :) Gonna enjoy going back and reading esp. as i have the same SoS freebies as you i think (the autos)
