sounds like root rot to me, are your roots slimey, brown, and smelly???

no they werent brown or slimey or smelly just looks split and kind of drying out. but it doesnt matter they all wilted over and dried out. so yesterday i started fresh no ag nutes this time only fox farm nutes and solubles i put the recommended dosage in 1 tsp of big grow and 2 tsps of big bloom. im not germinating but i did spit the bottom of the foam a little better and planted the seeds. i think this will help the roots when they start to grow. i only put in two seeds i better not go crazy and try to do too much. i got the seeds from nirvana its called hindu kush (the first ones that died were also). my guess is the ag nutes (herbs) were either too strong or they got nute lock up (learning a little i hope). because when they split the light was too far because the top leaves were stretching and they didnt seem to grow too much after that. so i hope fox farm are good because i spent some money on this stuff. i hope this works sick of spending money on BS i just want some good clean smoke to get my mind right.....thanks everyone for all the help on the ag...i want to master this and i wont stop until i do and i will teach anyone what i know....

I hope you guys are all remembering to remind about PH. The most important factor in feeding your plants is correct PH levels.

im testing ph with ph strips looks to right at 6. i took a sneak peak and seeds have germinated and should be up in a day or two. also did you mean to cut down on nutes during flowering stage? but until then i should use full strenghth? thanks for the help guys. it also seems buy splitting the bottom of the foam it has helped out.

so as soon as the sprouts come up do you think i should give half the strength that it lists in the first week feeding schedule. sorry to keep asking i just want to get it right. sprouts should be up tommorow last time i fed was 5 days ago. which is worse to put more of big grow or big bloom. because i seem to need the right amount of big grow to keep the ph at 6.

I ordered one of those from QVC, and grew the salad garden to try it out. The company that makes it now offers a kit for you to grow your own seeds, but I haven't gotten it yet. My aerogarden started leaking and I'm investigating ... maybe clogged by roots. I have two plants in dirt outside, which have buds. I've never grown before so I have no idea how or when to harvest. Any easy advice?

awesome idea man... i saw this aerogarden lastnight at this market and thought wow... thats perfect... searched the net and found this... exactly what i figured!

the one gallon reservoir is only big enough for one to two plants.

you have room for 3 fully grown plants but you should fill all spaces with seeds because you will lose plants when it is sexing time, keep the stock lights unless you are going to veg 24/7 otherwise get full spectrum cfls

Personally I've found that "Herb/Basil" works better than the tomato setting. I used the recommended amount of ag nutes... on the tomato setting i got a little chemical burn but with the herb setting nothing but dark dark green leaves. Also my branches grew faster and thicker. This is all using the same seeds from the same mother so it was a pretty controlled thing.

I have 2 plants going in my AG but the taller of the 2 is really top heavy it otherwise looks pretty healthy. Is it okay to prop it up with a pod lid?

Just took these today plants seem kinda fragile but otherwise healthy

saw a commercial for this little baby and was instantly interested, being a begginer and all, a system like this could be very interesting to try, i hope you have a good crop.....plus pics are fun to see

I've got a ton of seeds. I just got the empty pods from Mr FedEx today, and planted my germinated seeds immediatly. Then I just got 13 more seeds! Thankfully, I have 3 Aerogardens. Started germinated those lucky 13 tonight. I can't wait to see how they start to grow! I'm so giddy.

I tried AG, and the main problems I have found are:
1. The holes are big enough for the stems once the plant gets large.
2. the pills are are junk, I use general hydroponics 2 part nutes.
3. lights do not go high enough, I cut the wire to the lights. by cutting the wire and giving the lights their power you can add a timer and hang the light form something to get more room.
4. 2 plants will completely fill the reservoir with roots.
5. after the plants get big it's a huge pain in the ass to empty the reservoir, I drilled ahole in the side and and added a drain.
I have tried three times, using bc kush seeds only to have them die when I flipped them to 12/12. They were really nice looking big healthy plants.
I now use the AG for starting plants and cloning. I switched to sunleaves garden of ease for vegging and flowering......
